JerseysMadeEasy sent me these jerseys, logos, and number kits so I could make the videos and these blog posts to go over the different type of products they offer. If you make a purchase after clicking any of the links to JerseysMadeEasy.com through this page I will get a kickback which will help fund my RU-vid channel and this website and help me continue making reviews and hockey gear content. I wanted to see the products before agreeing to this as I would never promote a product I didn't believe in and one I wouldn't want to wear or use myself.

Was looking to see how low it should dangle but I got some other good tips too. Thanks for the video!

Love the more classic shape of the nash dangler

One thing that I started doing is using fishing line to attach the the dangler. Less obstruction for my vision and it looks like it's floating.

Thank you for this tutorial! I didn't have extra skate laces or string ties so I just used zip ties we had laying around and it works great!

Glad this helped! I would try and replace those zip ties asap though as they break pretty easily when they get cold.

As an experiment I once tried to use velcro to secure my dangler instead of skate lace. It worked great and completely muted the sound, right up until I took a shot to it and velcro straps went flying everywhere and the dangler ended laying there on the ice. Now I use electric tape on the edges up by the ear holes to take care of a lot of the sound echoing right in my ear.

That chin slider is genius! I drill a hole in the middle of the dangler so it limits the top and bottom the same way.

Been using this same setup for years and I love the lack of rattling

What i do , make the lace knote behind the hole of the dangler between the dangler and the mask. On the sideholes of the dangler a Little bit of tape Where the dangler contacts with the mask. From my experience it will Reduce the noise...

Thanks for the tips! Trying this on a kids NME3 and the dangler doesn't want to slide up and down easily in the front. There is a small raised area in the front inside of the mask and a foam piece on the inside of the mask that may be affecting it. Any suggestions? thx

Perhaps loosening that tied part? As long as it doesn't get stuck under the chin during play you can loosen it off a bit.

So... follow up? How did the initial installation work? Did you have to adjust it? (if so, why & how?) Also, heating is interesting (to get a better fit around the chin of the helmet... but, how do you do this? Thanks!

I ended up switching the Itech dangler you can see in this video with the Bauer one simply because the sides were taller and overall the dangler was wider and it got in the way less with the weirdly shaped Coveted. You can heat it by using a heat gun, could probably do it with a blow dryer too, you would just have to hold the plastic in place more I am guessing.

@@HockeyReviews Thx for the quick reply. I appreciate your insights. I have a 13 yo goalie -- youngest of 4 -- 1st goalie in the family so I'm always facing new (goalie) challenges. He hasn't used a dangler yet. He has a Bauer helmet, so we bought the Bauer dangler.. hoping that the same brand would work well together. Guess we'll see! Info on this channel is great. Thk u.

What about just zip tying them

Zip ties will break pretty consistently.

What is unique about this? I'm new to this trying to install for my son
@HockeyReviews
@HockeyReviews 8 месяцев назад
Most tying methods don't go under the chin so the dangler can more up and down a lot more and is a lot more "free" flowing. Which can cause it to get stuck or get in the way for vision. This acts more of an extension of the chin.
