It looks like she cooked it too.. I don't think we're suppose to feed birds uncooked rice because it swells up in their stomach & injures or can even kill them. That's why we're not suppose to throw rice at weddings. If it's cooked & already swollen they should be fine. I could be wrong about that but that's what I heard.

it is actually bad for the parrots, first you are reducing their ability to find food in the wild, second you are artificially increasing their number by feeding them. feeding wild bird actually hurts them by making them dependent and increase incidents of disease due to overpopulation

Yes I have seen this before. I think it started with a couple of parakeets coming for some rice and then the word spread and now it's a daily ritual for the man that feeds them everyday. He is not rich but manages to give them food everyday. God bless him. 💕

Beautiful to see them relishing the food in an organised way; I feed a few birds around my house and would see some parrots flying around but never come down to eat, they are always on top of buildings. Must attract them like this kind lady and God bless her!😍🙏

When i lived in a hostel, all girls threw rice they couldn't eat in the dustbin. I felt so bad for the wasted food that those full of life grains will be in the landfill And there are so many empty stomachs of animals that need food. So i used to take all of my rice in my hands to the terrace, where kabootar used to eat it. And also if rotis were extra i used to givd it to cow with dal and sabzi too. It gives me immense satisfaction to give the needy food.
