Thank you so much for your videos! You have been very helpful in my learning to fly the A320 in MSFS. I love your in depth explanations' and demonstrations. I have also enjoyed watching you fly other aircraft as well. Cheers.
Once again, a great video. It amazes me how the localiser can be so precise and the aircraft system be so sensitive that the plane goes right down the centreline!
Great video! I love the timing of this, because just this week Mentour Pilot released a video about a plane doing 6 go arounds thanks to bad decision making. Those pilots need to watch your videos!
Hey 320 sim pilot, any chance you could make a video on how to set up a standard missed approach in the mcdu? I’ve seen it happen in xplane but isn’t automatic in the FBW
Okay so literally my FIRST flight after watching this great tutorial, I flew from Hamad Int to Dubai Int and I encountered CatIIIb landing conditions using live weather! Can not believe that timing but once again your wonderfully well explained tutorial has saved my ass haha. worked through all the correct steps and got the bird down safely. Thank you so much yet again!
Can u please make a flight from Athens (electherios venizelos) airport to Pafos, cyprus airport? I am a bit struggling with the vors and would be interested to learn from you
Thanks so much for your videos there very interesting bit of a random question but I want to get my fATPL and was wondering what flight school do you recommend and also would you recommend a course with uni degree? and also any recommendations on how to fund the course? Many thanks and cheers for your videos Scott
Thanks for a thorough and well explained procedure which make flightsim flying so much more enjoyable. Worth a couple of more views to get the details right. Cheers Jens
I was landing in EGJJ Jersey UK Island with strong headwind, visibility good, ILS 26 approach, with only one AP activate; when I try to disconnect the AP a warning of autoland appeared. It would seem that was manadatory to make autoland. Is that possible? Tthere are conditions in which you must execute an autoland approach?
Is it common IRL to shoot CAT II/III approaches for low visibility situations resulting from heavy rain or blowing snow? Or does the wind component (especially gusts) usually gets too much for the autopilot? Also if the ILS beam breaks during the approach, instead of diverting would you shoot another approach on another CAT II/III capable runway at the same airport, or even approach from the opposite side of the same runway if it's also CAT II/III capable?
I am new to the Fenix A320 and so far loving it, but having come from the 737-800 this is a bit of a learning curve for me, especially the landings, i just can't manage to keep it in a straight line on touchdown, i am using the Velocity One Rudders, i have even tried autoland yes it did an awesome job of bringing me in but it never followed the center line like on your video, do you have any advice?
nice video but in alot of these i feel like they could be a quarter in length with a just too much completely needless info as well! i'm sure people love to hear about when airports may or may not do groundskeeping but i suggest there are more that are just looking for the procedure and details to do whats in the title!
Can’t wait to try it out but I am not sure if I missed a point you mentioned previously on other vids that you need enough GPS accuracy. Is that true or maybe it referred to something else
hello fenix is fine, but did you try drift down maybe I have some bug ...but it shows me EO altitude - 44500 ft and behave strange???? can you check it?
flew into JFK under autoland in a jumbo.. obviously had no idea until the captain came across the speaker and told us because of visibility and the Jumbos autoland that we were lucky to get into JFK that day!
Absolutely brilliant video, thank for not only the procedures but explanations and reasons as well. Did anyone else watching this imagine Raul from Parks and Rec, "If the localizer deviates, Go Around... If there is a triple click, go around... If the FMA says flare to early, go around... if the FMA says flare to late, believe it or not, go around."
One question, I read on google that any touchdown rate of >260fpm can be considered hard landing, and I myself during landing just like in your video, is around 300fpm in the vertical scale during touch down, if that's a fenix simulation problem or that vertical scale reading is actually what is normal in a properly flared touchdown?
Wow thank you Captain - what a stunning video with the beautiful classic Monarch A320, absolutely amazing and so informative. I've always wondered how you do a CAT III Autoland because over 20yrs ago I flew on a Monarch A320 to Austria and the pilots did a CAT III landing in heavy fog. Superb!
This is another great video. I noticed you started off in the holding patern. Have you already or if not could you plese show us how to put the aircraft into a holding patern using the auto pilot. Thank you again.
Aha so Cat III Dual is only a pure safety procedure in case of one pilot is accidentally touching the rudder pedal or the stick and thereby having the autopilot disengaged? But the airplane is theoretically fully able to land with Cat III single down to 50ft minimums and less and flare on it´s own? Good to know because I almost all the time forget to switch on both autopilots.... I have a question, let´s assume the right and left autopilot is engaged (which I never do in normal flight), what happens if the first officer gives some rudder or sidestick inputs - will this disengage both autopilots? Or just the right FO autopilot? Or will the plane completely ignore the FO sidestick inputs as long as dual AP is activated? I cannot test this on a simulator because only one HOTAS is plugged into the computer.
Thank you very much, very nice video, but I need you monarch and airtours livery oh and the BA u know the one now TUI. Love your videos mate keep up the good work in your spare time mainly keeping people safe in the sky is one thing but to share your time with us viewers is incredible 😀 👍👍👍💯🦾
