planing all the farm land like a square, you can use 2 sides of that square for the houses and related buildings, and leave the other 2 sides to expand
I set my seasons to 30 days. So far I've only let it go the full 30 that first seasons because there is just so much that needs done and I like exploring in that first season to get most animal areas discovered for initial money sources and tech/skill points. The great thing about this game is the flexibility to end a season at any point up to its final day by "sleeping in". ;) I'm still new at playing though. I haven't played it to its end yet but this is my 3rd start as I learned what I could do and just how big the world is. I'm retired and this is a great "at your pace" leisure game for me.
I completely agree that this game is ideal for leisure! Putting it at 30 days really helps make it more relaxing, too! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it!!
Farming in this game is a joke, there are no weather effects, no crop rotation, or anything beyond step 1, 2, 3, 4. Come on even Banished has early/longer winters. If you copy a game might as well copy all the good features. This has to be one the most half-assed game of all time. (Dont get me started on HEADSHOT hunting, like wtf?)
They should take your seeds, fertilizer, and bags from the Farm Shed. Double-check that you assigned your Farmers to the Farm Shed. If that doesn't work, you can try and put them in the Resource Storage. But they should take the resources from the Farm Shed building.
Use the high farming skill workers for breading, use low level workers to work the fields, anyone can be a farmer, the skill level doesn’t make a difference, you still get the same amount
