A copyright Claim cannot take down a video unless the RU-vid Creator re-uploaded the whole video or they say it's their own video and give no credit to the actual video creator.

It’s because you need 150 copyright claims to get terminated, or it’s probably because you don’t know how much copyright claims the video has, only they can view it.

Rookie advice, people use famous reel songs for shorts to get more views. Because when you use a famous reel song it automatically suggests it to people interested in that song. Also, copyright claims are not bad and nothing happens to your channel. No matter if you have 1000’s of them. You just don’t get to monetize that particular video, only the copyright strikes are bad… don’t confuse people with bs info.

When you got copyright claims, the owners may have to right to request RU-vid to remove your video which is a Take down notice (or a Copyright Strike). So, no matter you want to be monetized or not, it's still super important to avoid using other people content.

If you’re using anything like someone else’s idea without permission and it’s not like a trend,then copyright! Music can be hard to use without copyright. For edits I recommend remixing songs because I think they avoid copyright, and check for copyrights. For now what I use to check for copyright strikes, I upload the audio to RU-vid and if it doesn’t get copyrighted then I use it and if it does: I can’t use it. I’ve had times where I make an edit, I’m really proud of it and exited to upload it to RU-vid but it’s copyrighted..🤷

You need to go to RU-vid Library, download free music there and put it into your video. Music inside editing app will potentially get copyright claims everytime you use it.

I have uploaded shorts, using my own content, but I added sounds from RU-vid itself, and still got copyright claims. I use their sounds made for shorts.
