I really need this sort of info. I just got my LLC set up last month. I haven't had any paid gigs yet. Just done a couple of things for family and friends for nothing, just to build up my skills and use them as tests of what I can offer. I want to protect myself with my LLC and make sure everything is legal but I have yet to sit down with a CPA. I really need to stop procrastinating and find one who can help me with these questions.
I have learned from a previous business that you could spend a fortune on lawyers and CPAs. Starting this small drone operation and Living the Drone Life that’s almost out of the question when we are buying thousands and thousands of dollars of equipment. We need to have that information at Drone U Team.
Wait I’ve heard of this drone boss been getting emails about his weekend class, Drone Command Live. Is Paul correct on him being black listed? Is this guy’s course just an elaborate scam?
Paul is incorrect. You have to submit a W-4 to employers to tell them how much to withhold through the year(s). A W-2 is a breakdown of how much was made and what was withheld. I think Paul is referring to a W-9, which is tells the IRS how much was received but does not breakdown withholding because the business does not withhold taxes for the employee. * I am not a CPA or a lawyer.
