How to avoid the black box on Illustrator SVG in Cricut Design Space

Thank you! This is really frustrating and I couldn't find an answer but finally found this video and it solved my problem.

This video was super helpful and answered my question very clearly. Now I want to make all my templates transparent. That black box was surely annoying and I am glad its gone! Thank you for sharing your talents & discovery.

just set fill color white.. seems to fix the problem.

Thanks for this video. But I will so confused. Because I’m not just working with shapes. I have images. But every time I upload images are black boxes and the font is visible

Mine is doing the black box from illustrator PDF>SVG It never did this before, but now it is 😭 Can't figure it out

What about Illustrator images downloaded from Google? Can those be changed?

You can just expand it as well - much easier.

but what if I have score lines on the SVG? did someone try ?
