How To Balance DJI Ronin RS3 - COMPLETE Beginner's Guide! 

DJI, I don't know why you don't hire this guy to make your instructional videos. You should. Your instructions stole 40 minutes of my life for nothing, this video taught me how to do it in 3 minutes.

This was 10x better then the DJI page video thank you 🙏🏽

How the heck did you balance the roller axis? It doesnt make sense to me how it can balance on both tilts. Im so impressed and frustrated. 😂

Should have removed the lenscap before balancing in my opinion.

Any idea why its so difficult to move the arms - they don't move easily when adjusting. I have to apply so much force and makes it hard for little micro movements. Its like the arms need to be oiled/greased lol of course if ya do that then you will get dirty everytime you balance the gymbal. Any advise?

Thank you so much for the tips details video. One thing to mention to balance the camera on gimbal must remove the lens cap cover and hood unless you are using them while on shoot. They add additional wait on balancing just my thoughts. And if you will add other things on gimbal/camera do it so before do the balance. Still this is amazing and detailed tips.

This is the best, far better than four other videos I've seen on this including DJI's. The overhead shot and thoroughness step by step in the most simple way had a nice pace. I almost want to go back and downvote all the others now...💚 going to see what else you got now

Incredible video, but legit, nothing I do allows my camera to stay how yours stays on the angles. NOTHING. Canon R5+24-70mm. NOTHING I do keeps it in place, it still falls. It LOOKS balanced, but doesn't stay in mid positions like yours does.

Just got my RS3 today. I was worried about balancing my A7lll after watching some other videos. I had this video playing while I was balancing, I would stop, complete a step, and move on. 10 to 15 min later, it's all good & saved for future reference. Best video out there.

I just cannot get the roll axis to work! it doesn't matter what I do it will not stay in any position other then centered or 45 deg on the right but not left. Using a Nikon Z6ii with 24-120mm lense

Could you please help me? The tilt axis doesn’t move at all.. the gray locks in 3 positions. But none is unlocking it. And there is no documentation about this…

Damn, stuck basically ay 2:08. I got it but then moving on I couldn't position it at 2:32 without changing what I did the step before even though it was locked? This has to be done every single time? This is wild!

Great video! Left the lens cap on though. Everytime I did that, I did a facepalm. haha That or leaving the screen flipped closed.

I cannot seems to get the roll axis to balance. It will always go back to center. Can anyone help me out here? I've been searching on google and it seems many people are having that problem. I have a sony a7s3. I tried with the screen in (to no avail) and with the screen flipped out... same result!

No matter what I do I can’t balance the tilt access. I have a a7iv with a gm 16-36 but I don’t think it’s too heavy. Also I shoot vertical most of the time.

man rented this from grover, didnt get the botton quick release plate. still able to mount a canon eos m6 mk2 with the an extended bottom plate but i'm unable to balance the tilt axis like this.. :( guess i need to talk some with grover to get that part.

Without actually confirming which gimbal I had, I assumed I had the RS3 and started watching the video, only to realize I have the SC2. Well, let me tell you - I could not find a decent balancing tutorial for the SC2 (the DJI ones are horrible). So getting frustrated, I decided to use this tutorial for my gimbal, and it's finally balanced - simple, easy, and it made sense. Thank you!!

Do you have any tips on how to balance your gimble when you're out on location or outdoors where there may not be an even surface to set up and balance the gimble on?

Nice video but have they still not made balancing gimbals easier yet? I just can't be arsed with the pratting about with gimbals.

Before calibration do you lock all roll acces pins or do you leave them unlocked ?

I'm having trouble with roll return on the roll axis. It will stay put on the left or the right. When I seem to get it balanced, it rolls back in on both directions. I double checked my balances at all other points again but I'm still having the same issue. A few people have mentioned tightening the screw for the lock, but I don't know if that's the correct next step

Do I need to have the auto locks off to calibrate the gimbal?

Great tutorial. When I press the button to calibrate and it finishes calbrating it just flops stating that the DJI Ronin SC3 Pro is unbalanced because it is on Sleep Mode. How do I resolve this please?
