I felt its neccesary for me to say, I have been watching your videos during doubts and topics in exam for past 5 to 6 years, I am writing my final chemistry 12th exam today. thank you for being such an amazing teacher.
Most of my stuff takes a while to get into the search engines and such. So overall on my channel I'm getting more views but new videos seem to take longer to gain traction. Sometimes several months, but then the do well enough!
Evening Dr.B. I just finished working such Q's for a student. Having watching this vid before our session, was able to give clear and numerical clarity to answer all correctly. DVD...U Rock! Dr. B :)
Great to hear David! I'm pretty proud of this redox resource, it took me forever to research and build but it's one of those topics that students struggle with. Glad you found it helpful!
Man, I love your channel, I'm studying chemistry and every time I have a question I search your channel and you always have a video for everything, thank you very much!
Oxidation and reduction [provides a fundamental framework for analyzing and predicting the outcomes of chemical reactions involving the transfer of electrons. So what you say makes sense.
Hello , Dr. B, your video is very informative and Clear, thank you for breaking it down in simpler steps. Just one question please, where did the -5 come from? 6:50
Can you please tell me that how to write this statement (carbon+hydrogen+oxygen➡sugar) in a balanced chemical equation? I am unable to find it anywhere😞
I'm not sure of the equation for just C + H2 + O2 = sugar. Perhaps take the C + O2 to make CO2. And the H2 and O2 to make H2O. From there photosynthesis would be able to create glucose. This might help ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mGbB4r56rLE.html .
Pace yourself and focus on areas where you feel you are weak. Don't just study the stuff you already know! And do as many practice problems as possible. That's my advice a few days out from a big exam. All the best on your exam!
We usually balance the atoms in the half reactions before we balance electrons (or the H and O atoms). Hello Purushottam! The difference between minimum and maximum is about the lowest and highest amounts or degrees permissible or possible, respectively. In a marathon, the minimum time is the fastest pace at which a runner completes the race, while the maximum time is the slowest pace allowed before the race officially ends.
Thank you so much. GREAT! 😊I can use these steps for the many redox reactions I have done till now and it works perfectly. I only can't solve this reaction "Hgo -> O2 + Hg" by using the same steps . Can you please tell me if I'm wrong? 😢
You are welcome, that is great to hear! Sorry for the late reply but you might try putting the equation in here: www.periodni.com/half-reaction_method.php That'll show you the steps.
Namaste sir! I'm from India your teachings helped me a lot and btw why don't u make teachings on organic chemistry from basics, if u do such videos , it helps a lot of students like me. I'm really grateful for your teachings.😊
That's an interesting question. On my own, English, Spanish, some Twi and Kusaal. But with the assistance of technology I'm able to communicate across most languages. I try to do that on my channel when I reply to comments and it may create a perception that I speak more languages, unaided, than I really do!
Dr.B, Which one is more electronegative 1) Nitrogen 2) Chlorine Explain in detail please(different sites show different answers so I'mma bit confused🫤)
