How to Balance Your German clock Part 1 

Oh my goodness! This worked for me! Grandfather clock was off beat and finally the suspension spring broke. I don't know if it was from me trying to get the pendulum to keep swinging or just the stress of being off beat. Anyway, I replaced the suspension spring, but it was still off beat. I was going to try to change the level of the escapement pallet, but it was screwed in tight ... and I was scared to mess with that! All hell broke loose when I messed with that on my grandmother clock (but I did get it on beat eventually that way). Your method in this video did the trick on my grandfather clock today, and I love that it is low risk! Thank you so much!

I recently purchased and antique German wall clock, I've done this on a small mantle clock with success, this is one is about 18 inches. Do I need to remove the movement to do this or can I just reach inside?
