Man, so much color in that town. Just gorgeous. I have to say it's a pretty close contest but my vote goes to Alex. That beanie scarf was ingenuous and loved the tie. You both got some awesome items at good prices. Greetings from India! (Leaving soon though.)
When I was living in Peru, I didn't appreciate much the things that they sold in those markets, then when I go back I am all over the place because you can't find these unique items, handmade for so cheap. A lot of beautiful art and talent in Peru
People at tourist markets will usually ask for a higher price than what they would settle for, especially for gringos or tourists that look like they have money lol. A useful phrase for haggling in Peru is: “¿a cuánto me lo deja”, or “¿a cuánto me deja todo?” if you’re buying a bunch of stuff from the same seller. People will usually substract around 5 to 10 soles or round up to the lowest x10.
You guys are my inspiration....I am from India, have only been to Europe as an international tourist. I regularly watch all of your videos and after watching those, I have decided to take one big international trip every year for soothing my soul. Cheers to you guys.
I've noticed a lot of people thinking that alpaca fiber is the most expensive and soft when actually vicuña fiber is the best. The garments made of this fiber are really expensive! Google vicuña, they're beautiful, very delicate animals.
I just found your channel and so far loving it! I am watching your Peruvian experience with nostalgia, i was there about 6 yers ago and was delighted to have found such a gem!
Thank you vagabothers for spreading these customs of the Latin Roman Empire as you say. You are very right to say that when you buy products from Cusco you will not lose those old customs and the most important thing is that you bring bread for your families, thank you very much ...
I think Alex won with buying the coolest gifts/ merchandise. and I love this show its so informative and helpful. also the videos and pictures are so beautiful !
I don't wanna be rude, but in fact the artisans deserve a better paid for their stuff, they spend tons of hours doing just a simple souvenir, must be a fair trade... 😐😑
Wild Alebrije Coco some vendors are ridiculous tho, they double the prices just because they're foreigners ( not everyone thought) not every visitor is rich
Sebastie Cortes It depends, I remember my grandparents use to spend a week sewing a hat, then they needed to travel about a week just to take it to a tourist market in the nearest city... 😶

I'd love that Stay Curious, Keep Exploring black mountain tee that you're rocking Marko. I don't see a merch link in the description? The hooded alpaca sweater is dope too! Great video guys.
As a Peruvian I must say you guys are awesome!!! Thank you for being so educated on the culture and for putting together such a informative and professional set of videos from Peru.
Hi!!! Most expensive is Vicuna which is part of the same fam bam😊. Glad y'all enjoyed Peru. Many more beautiful places in Peru to see. Love LOVE your videos!👍
Great Video! Always good to learn tips and tricks how to bargain! Can you tell me the name of the brand of the trekking boots @ 5:16 on your Welcome to Peru video?
Trying to find something authentic and memorable within a budget is definitely a challenge. This was a nice exercise in shopping :-). typically I like to look at the local art. Looking forward to getting down to Peru one day..
You guys must do more market videos - this was so cool! Buying artesanías in Peru is the dream!! I learned to bargain in markets in Latin America & now it's so much harder for me to bargain in English than it is in Spanish haha
I agree with the other comments that Alex did slightly better. But Marko's red hat is so cool that nothing else matters. The man is a demigod among mortals.
The earrings were 15 (quince) soles but he thought she said 50 (cincuenta)! I really liked the sweater Alex tried on (gray & black 7:21); it was awesome!
the main things I bargain for in Latin America are taxi prices and Air BNB prices. I dont buy many souvenirs but they are small peanuts and I generally give people what they are asking or very close to it.
That was a really fun video. I would love to spend a day looking around those markets. Did Carrie like her earrings? Alex won that challenge the art was super cool.
I'm taking my credit cards to Peru, and will try to use them to pay for most things. How much cash should I take with me? Specifically - how much should I expect to spend in cash per day? I usually don't buy much souvenirs on trips
I love your guys videos! I was wondering about the eurail pass, and I was hoping you guys could help me out? I friend of mine said it's very confusing/ challenging getting around by train but I thought it was easier than flights? Is it because of a language barrier? I'm going to be doing it solo and I'm trying to figure out the best way for me. Would it be easier to fly instead?
wow your video quality, editing, music is one of the best that I've seen among the travel blogs. Very impressive! Instant subscribe. P.S. I'm going to Chile and Peru next week :)
