HOW TO: BATHE + DRY YOUR BICHON FRISE AT HOME... CHEAP & EASY 

To keep your dog from slipping in the tub or shower use a bath mat. The more secure they feel with their footing in the tub the more relaxed they are.

Never calm out the mats while the dog is wet. Shampoo the dog with moisturizing shampoo. Get a good whitening shampoo because the dog is white.. blow dry the dog's hair first good and dry. Then you can brush out the hair on the dog.

I use the same brand of shampoo for my bichon. Works great and smells great.

I put hair conditioning on my dogs tail or if something is matted and it really helps to brush it under stream of water.

Hello Rachel, thank you for the video. I have a Bichon Poodle mix and I tried to wash him but his hair got really frise. LOL Bichon humor. I do have a slicker brush, but it seems like that hurts the dog. Is yours metal? So I think the part that I'm concerned with is the drying and brushing. I can wash him no problem, but the drying part has been a little difficult and I don't want to give him mats. After watching your video it seems that I'm supposed to be using the slicker brush while he's wet?

Why is the fur around the dog's mouth brown? I have a bichon frise which is 7 months old now. I take her to the groomers every 2 weeks who use whitening shampoo and my bichon is on a hypoallergenic diet with filtered and bottled water which should prevent allergies and staining 😁. Still a beautiful dog. I love the fur on this breed.
