I'm getting back into yugioh through master duel and duel links. The last time I played was 2006. I used a toon deck back then, and placed third in a tournament. Win or lose, I just have fun playing toons. I have a question, why no toon briefcase? I am still new to the new style the game has taken, but it seems effective. I do have trouble using it at the right time, though.
Welcome back! Toon briefcase is a solid card but unfortunately it's been power crept out of being played. With how few disruptions toons can consistently set up, it's better to just play hand traps and staples instead of briefcase or terror. You can definitely add it in if you have the space though.
nothing more satisfying than comic hand lmaoooo. I cant wait to see how broken the next toon support is. hopefully either an in arctype replacement for black stone of ancients that ss itself for free, or a board breaker that has a grave extender effect. if we ever get support..
@@kingmahde1 I tried synchros with DM. You are right, not enough synergy or consistency. Bystials, Diabellstar and Branded seem to be the best with DM. Maybe some Kashtira as well.
No, it's hard for me to guess because I havent played in plat in a while, but I would guess that getting to plat would be very difficult (but possible) and beyond that is unlikely....still a very fun deck
It seems I always have bad luck, I have 2 decks, one blue eye & one toon & I never get a hand like in the videos. Always have unplayable trash together. Nice account cursed
Both those decks can be very inconsistent so don't feel bad. Try to play toons as optimized as possible and minimize the number of garnets that you don't need within the deck. that should help the consistency some.
Toons certainly seem better in Master Duel than they are in Duel Links, despite the character skills. That 8k life is a big deal for the playstyle of Toons.
I never played them in DL and I've never even considered it lol. I dont play DL but I thought toons would be decent with the skills and less life points.
@@kingmahde1 They are decent if you don't brick, people make it to Legend with them. The problem is that moment you run out of moves to make you lose, since there are so many monsters with over 4k attack now. With 8k LP you can manage an extra turn, most of the time, and that's what Toons need, an extra turn.
In Duel Links, with the skill Toonvitation on Pegasus, toon decks are quite good. I started playing a week ago and I have all the toon cards available. Also, turns take less time in duel links. I hate the 3 slots instead of 5, though.
@@Ravum I prefer Duel Links too and I made it to almost KoG with Toon deck. It's viable enough, it's just that the game itself is toxic. It's hard to have fun when every card you use gets cancelled or destroyed before it even has the chance to activate.
