Thanks for sharing this! It's actually awesome that you decided to try out at the last minute and didn't cave under the pressure of not being fully prepared. It proves that what shined out about you came from inside of who you are and not just how great a show you made. Theres an authenticity about Song Girls that is so much more real than just being beautiful dancers - which you are.

Great little video Kara. I read your responses to the previous questions and was surprised to learn that some girls can make the team without substantial dance experience behind them. I personally think that both the band and the song girls are sensational. The dancers just ooze confidence throughout the choreography. 👍✅. The performing arts are the icing on the cake of life. 🎂 🧁 🍰

Watching the USC Song Girls was a deciding factor for me to choose the USC Marshall School of Business M.S in Global Supply Chain Management for my next academic adventure! I was going through a rough patch in 2021 and spent a lot of time on RU-vid. Between Friesian Horses channel and watching several videos about USC and the Spirit of Troy and a couple about commencements it tipped the scales in my mind. Fight On!

Can we get specifics on different seasons as a song girl, makeup routines for game days and maybe a beginners dance that’s great for auditions? Love you!

Thank you so much for making this video! It was really helpful. I just had one question. I’m not 100% sure if this is true but I’ve heard of a solo being part of the final audition after prelims. Does that mean you have to come in with a solo prepared to perform?

Have you thought about including pictures or videos of your time as a USC song girl? Just in case someone may ask if you really were. Of course if USC has the rights to the videos, I guess that could be problematic.
