I want to say it was in the book Moonraker, but James did pushups after waking up in his hotel. Fitness, no matter how basic, is part of the Bond lifestyle, even on a business trip.

Great video, David! I have to admit, one of the fun parts of being respectably employed were the opportunities for travel. When I went to India on business a few years ago I really did feel like Roger Moore in Octopussy, swaggering into the hotels (which were considered wildly fancy by Indian standards.) Partly it's being on your own - I love that independence, and the opportunity to explore and experience that you really can't do when you're wrangling kids and a wife. I also like how work lets you see the "real" side to a destination, rather than the tourist destinations.

Hey Dave! I do the shower steaming thing on every business trip I take. After I hang the article of clothing i need to de-wrinkle, I clip one of the hotel's paints hangers to the bottom and let the weight of the hangar work with the steam to aid with the process.

As a tradesman most of my day is spent driving a van, climbing ladders and getting dirty. Makes it a bit difficult to have those Bond moment's. But I do have plenty of time to listen to the Audio books!

I too do the shower steaming thing with my shirts! Trouble is, you have to shut off the extractor fan first which is often connected to the lights. I didn't connect it with being Bond like but I suppose it is! Beats ironing.

We rarely see Bond work out but obviously he has to be fit and his work out has to be functional for the missions he goes on. In Skyfall you see him do some push ups and pull ups as part of his evaluation to see if he is fit for duty. Then he goes on his mission and he is swimming in a 5 Star Hotel Pool I believe the only other actor that came close to Daniel Craig's level of fitness was George Lazenby as he had been in the Australian Army as a Hand to Hand instructor. Also Sean Connery was a former bodybuilder so he was in pretty good shape for that time period. Then you see him at a health farm in Never Say Never again using a Bench Press machine.
