John, Women in my office constantly comment on my shoes, boots, or clothing. I made the mistake a few years ago, in telling my wife that I made a young Walmart cashier blush. A few times since then, my wife will mention that she isnt sure about the way I dress for the office. I am 58, and very much love and appreciate my wife. I am not trying to pick up women, but it's nice to know women notice and comment on my style choices. I've also had a young male greeter acknowledge my sharp appearance. People "do" notice. James

Why? i am a citizen of the world, speak many languages and have achieved incredible things in my life, but also love to dress a bit different. I can attest...I'm married, and my wife always notices the eyes on me when we're out. I dress for me, not to be noticed, because I deserve it. But, being noticed is a nice plus. Also, the watch advice is on point...I have a collection, because it's our main bling.

About dressing nicely: that’s how Ive always been, but I’ve been having to spend a lot of time in a lower-low middle class town/city and I get compliments…. After the fact and second hand. Why, I asked. The girl said bc women here see you as beyond their level. Silly, I say! I’m most down to earth person around. But they don’t know that. Just found it interesting to hear that. But I won’t dress sloppy to pander. I guess I’ll just have to be more forward if I want to talk to someone (which I’ve always been timid to do.).

I will say he is right on everything he has said. I'm older now but guys if your like WOW!! at a girl you have to not let that show. Must be like "if this doesn't work, next!" Set your morels and what you will not put up with in a women. Must know not one person is perfect not even you. I've walked into a sports bar or nice club and he is right the ladies stop and look but you have to know how to pull this off so you don't step over into putting off arrogance. You come in with confidence, own it, even when the other men give you the stink eye because you look the part and out smarted them by taking care of yourself. If you've been seeing a girl for some time and now she want to make it with you, pull back control yourself say no not yet. Blow her mind, she probably never had a man turn her down before. You have to make yourself stand out from the thousand other guys she has had hit on her. Good luck men and know this something like 2 out of 10 girls are looking for someone, the others have boyfriends or are into a host of other things so never and I mean never let a turn down be personal. That's fine, i understand have a great night or if you can pull it off like fine but I think we may have been something special and turn around and walk away.

I bought a couple of nice analog watches with metal wrist bands at WalMart for around $10 each. They look fantastic and you'd never guess that they aren't expensive. An easy, fast and inexpensive way to look more classy than most of your competition. I wear them mostly on dates and for special occasions.

All this dude’s fashion advice is spot on. Almost NONE of his dating advice is correct, untess you want a woman to get up and leave a date. 1. ALWAYS ask a woman what she wants, or what she prefers. You NEVER choose for her, or tell her what she wants, or what you are both going to do. This behavior is controlling and can be seen as red flag behavior of a controlling narcissist or misogynist. Be respectful and considerate. 2. Weird that you mention having on nice boots because just the other day I was doing my grocery shopping at one of the big box stores, which shall remain nameless this lady came up to me as I was making my way to go up the next isle and calls out to me and actually says "I really like your boots they look very nice" and of course, I said thank you, but as men sometimes we really underestimate how dressing well can give us a leg up especially if we are you to be a part of the dating scene!

Just a thought about this video, John: I think that, especially since you are talking to an older demographic, you might want to highlight more high-end companies than Thursday boots. Personally I have quite a few pairs of shoes and boots much nicer than Thursday, and I really feel great wearing them and they've lasted me a long time. I think a lot of people might be interested in those as well.
