Giving yourself those rules and expectations will never help you in the end. We all go through the awkward photo phase first before we're able to find the poses that make us feel more confident. Taking a photo for yourself means it's for yourself, you don't have to be drop dead gorgeous. Even when you get better at taking photos that doesn't guarantee you'll like every single one of them. I hope you're able to feel more confident in yourself because you shouldn't not be allowed to partake in photography because you don't feel as "pretty". Photography is art and humans are art and I know you can do it!
@@floppathebased1492 that’s only somewhat true. Like you said society only treats you TRULY better if you are respected. If society doesn’t respect you, for instance and only thinks you’re good looking, thats not what stops someone from talking bad about you, or disrespecting you. If people have respect for you, It will always be reciprocated. And that’s true confidence. The rest is just girls and boys trying to look good for people who could care less about them anyways lmao. And soon that connection to confidence will be broken because those people are only there for a good time not a long time.
better yet… How to be photogenic: step 1: be photogenic step 2: if step 1 fails, just be photogenic step 3: if both steps fail… be photogenic, thats all you have to do…
We need more tips on how to control our face expressions! Because in the mirror the face looks awesome and in the pictures it looks like it's sad and crooked :/
its just you who sees like that because the camera is how everyone else sees u and when you look in the mirror its flipped. so ur used to seeing your face flipped when u see it normally you think it looks weird. next time u take a pic, flip the pic in editing
@@tuliptown9058 I must look truly tragic if the camera is how everyone else sees me 💀 doesn't help my self-steem to know that. For some reason my selfie camera always flips the pictures as well, I hate it, it's a dreadful sight for sure.
@@declaracionespolemicas lol I must have not explained it right cause it supposed to make you feel better knowing what you see in the camera is just your face flipped the other way than the mirror. Since its different your not used to seeing yourself this way you think you look ugly. But everyone else see you normally. Idk look it up, the web prob explain it better than I do. @@declaracionespolemicas how you look in the mirror is more accurate to how other people see you than how you look in photos, if you look up comparisons there are a lot of examples so that's good news for everyone who doesn't like how they look in photos 💀
Yesterday only, my friends and i were sitting in our clg ground and it was kind of windy . My friend out of no where says, DO NOT MOVE, and then she clicked pictures of me like a professional. Laying down on thr ground, changing her positions and stuff. And the photos were SO GOOD
Literally every " someone" when I do anything mentioned in this vid : " Stand straight !! Why are you looking somewhere else LOOK AT THE CAMERA ! Don't mess with your hair ! "
Take photos for the memory. We aren't all going to be ig models but we will all change and get old. Having photos you can look back at, of happy memories or with loved ones, is extremely valuable.
hell adding on to the other reply, i’ve had alot of fun looking back pics from even 3 years ago, simply because things have changed alot and they remind me of different times in my life, im very rarely looking at whether i looked good in it or not, which is perfectly ok to look out for but its not the end all be all
When you're 70 and unable to move as fast as you could when you were young, none of it will matter. How preety you are, how snatched your waists look, how big your breasts/butt are, all these will not matter when you're old, you will only regret that you had cared so much about these trivial things when you had the privilege to walk and move around quickly without bone pain
i won't regret pictures because of how i feel about myself in the now, ill be alive for a long time, i would like some pictures as many as possible for memories of my childhood, that's why im getting a camera soon, im sure you're beautiful maybe you just haven't realized it yet

Photogenic doesn’t mean being able to pose well in pictures, it means looking good in unexpected taken pictures. As in, you could just be doing your business and your friend takes a picture of you randomly
Fact is ppl who take my pics are very dumb 😭 i pose for fake candids hoping they're pressing that button but they just yell "LOOK AT THE CAMERA.. WHY ARE YOU NOT SMILING"😭😭😭😭

To me it’s all about the eyes. Every time someone shoves a camera in my face I try to actually laugh and be happy, I think of a joke or something pleasing. This makes your whole image look real and authentic, a soon as you get uncomfortable the camera will notice it.
ok but the last one is really accurate and helpful 😅 my mom is a photographer so i always like mess around when she takes pictures and don't take it seriously and once i was doing this weird pose but then i started laughing during it and it is the prettiest picture ever omg I'm laughing and my posr is just so funny 🤣❤ if you're reading this you should try it
REAL TIPS: • Get comfortable with yourself and with a camera. • Practice in the mirror and see how you would like your body to look if it were a picture. • Explore different facial expressions, poses, angles, etc even if it feels “silly.” • Being confident starts with appreciating what you see DESPITE what you feel. You can’t feel confident overnight, it’s something you build and then becomes part of you. • Don’t shame yourself or pick yourself apart. Instead put on some music that makes you FEEL good, and naturally you will LOOK good because you’ll reflect what you’re feeling. (Example: Same goes for when you feel shy, you subconsciously cave your body inward and appear smaller.) Hope this helps!
@@moonedits-dp6nm i meant real tips as in something that will fix the root of the issue. a lot of the times people will try these tips and it just not translate as well. You honestly need to know your body to take good photos, you gotta know your angles and what you feel comfortable showing and not showing. That’s what helps you FEEL confident instead of just LOOK confident. i’m sure this vid was just tryna help and so was i lol
I feel like one of the most genuine compliments you can give to someone is "you literally can pull anything off". And that applies to being photogenic too. Photogenic people look good in many angles, poses, etc.
Okay. She’s pretty and photogenic so I doubt she understands the struggle to not being photogenic. Not being photogenic means you don’t look good no matter what you do.
If you're young, please don't listen to her advice. Find a hobby, get good at it and you'll learn valuable lessons about life. Trying to look good in photos won't change anything in your life. It'll just make you feel insecure because you'll be comparing yourself to other people on social media. Stay happy and healthy. Avoid the trap of trying to impress others, it leads to nowhere.

The reason you think you look ugly in photos is because you're used to seeing a mirrored version of yourself. When you see yourself unmirrored, any of your asymmetrical feature will feel weirder than it actually is. I promise you that's not how other people see your photos. It's just your brain playing with you.
