@@livinglikeahuman7918 on my point of view this quote is about acting like you would imagine a greater man than you would act, thus becoming a greater man
@@livinglikeahuman7918 Most people aren't naturally like who they want to be so we have to imitate who we want to be until it comes natural to us. Pretty sure the bible says imitate Jesus and you will grow to be more like him sorta the same concept honestly it applies to almost everything. I'm not a social friendly sorta guy but when working in retail I had to be
The point starting 6:56 is bang on Nikhil. As a high-achieving man, being humble is NOT easy... so important for us to be storytellers about EXPERIENCES rather than results - this stoic quote expresses it beautifully: “Be silent as to services you have rendered, but speak of favors you have received.” - Epictetus
I relate to this so hard. The best conversations I've had when I've felt valued, I was focussing on THE OTHER PERSON!!!! DALE CARNEGIE STRIKES AGAIN!!!
Bro I've watched the first 41 seconds of this video and holy is the quality of your content so frickin good! Like genuinely, the music, the editing, the B-roll, the lighting. So fricking good and it's only been 41 seconds!! Been watching for about 3 years now, and it's mad inspiring seeing this form of consistent improvement over the years.
I really resonate with your point about finding your own fitness/sport style. I always considered myself ‘not a sports guy’, more creatively/artistically focussed. But nowadays I go running, climbing, and practicing kung fu regularly. Feels very me!
A lot to unpack in this video but it’s all on point. Will watch again 2 or 3 times to soak it all in You’re so right about giving off good vibrations and compliments etc, really aiming to do the same this year
Your editing game is FIRE AF , keep it going captain. Also , would like video of your book recommendations and the books you are reading currently. Cheers.
honestly the last time i saw your video was a year before and your video just popped on my page and you really look attractive i guess i should give it a try too
Been busy with a new job and just getting around to your new content. I love this video!!! Your authenticity shines through and the visuals are better than ever, super valuable content. Thanks man 🙏🏼 🔥
I really appreciate the content, dude. I feel like you're the RU-vidr who's perspective I relate to the most, especially recently. There was I time (maybe like a a year ago) where, much like you, I was getting super into the Red Pill world watching people like Hamza and 1STMAN all the time. However more recently, I feel like I've started to come out of that phase and have begun to see some of the holes in what they preach (eg. its excessively pessimistic/nihilistic when it comes to people's nature) and with the recent content, I get the sense that you are starting to step away from that stuff as well. It's really great to have someone like you who cares deeply about self-improvement, much like I do, but still has a generally positive attitude towards people and life - all that negativity in the red pill world is really toxic after a certain point. I learned a lot from it, but I think there comes a time to leave that in the past.
Generalizing on why I think it is easier to work from external to internal vs internal to external in terms of acting, is because the former has a well defined scope of the present and you can backtrack to the characters backstory. On the other hand, internal to external is harder to crack unless you are highly intuitive/observant about human psychology other than your own. It's also more vague and it's never an obvious route of how you become who you become (good writers understand this very well)....Also, I'm speaking out of my ass, but perhaps this has some truth to it.🤣
The cool thing is I've came across the last one on my own personal development journey and used to practice it every morning for a year or so. I stopped awhile ago and do singing practice here and there.
@ 7:53 theres a dude on the left getting chased by what looks like a overweight cop. Has nothing to do with the vid i just wanted to point that out cuz it cracked me up pretty good. Love your vids Sinbad!
After a full year optimizing training and diet going to the gym to get juicy it hit me. What is this really for? Aesthetics? What am I further learning pumping heavier iron? Foolishness! I built solid discipline and routines and learnt a lot in that process, but I figured to rather focus my efforts in more skill demanding sport endeavors such as tennis and skateboarding, I’d much rather put points into my meat suit’s dexterity than into strength and tankiness, all the eating and calorie counting got daunting too too much effort pumped to vanity
I have so many moments where I think about complimenting someone on their style, but I hold back because I'm worry about how they will perceive me if I do. I think I should stop holding back and just spread the good vibes like you suggest.
I'm currently trying the same thing status game. And it's really hard. Currently working on physical appearance including fashion and working out skin care etc. While that's really good but that internally i still feel like incongruent and even tho I'm making change it still feels like long to see some outcome.
Principle 1: Fashion and Fitness “Wear the costume of the person you want to be, and you’re that much closer to becoming that person” Principle 2: Just spread good vibes - Just try to make the other person feel good (give compliments) Principle 3: Be a high vibrating person - Have the expectation of everything going really well - Semen retention - Meditation Principle 4: Tongue Twisters - Makes you able to speak more clearly and confidently - (vocal warmup exercices)
Tongue twisters point is on point when I'm talking to my friends sometimes I fumble to get the words out of my mouth it usually happens when a new person join the conversation who I'm not familiar with.. The video and editing is dope though..
You know Nikhil I was a bit skeptical with how much time you spread between each videos you make of recent... But every time you upload, the vibe you give, that sense of pride that you emit, that you have created something, created art; compared to your other video schedules in the past makes me happy as it seems you feel fulfilled... Props to your editors as well... Stay Safe...
Principle 4 is my favorite and most actionable. Great advise! I'm doing it. I learnt from a speech coach to day - 'Peter Piper picked a pack of pickled peppers'... but to do it with your tongue completely out of your mouth. Your spray saliva everywhere 😃 (not recommended to do around people!!) but damn afterwards, your pronunciation improves by like 30-40%.
The production quality is so inspiring, man. It's been a real treat to see you reach such a profound level of expertise with your editing. Also, not sure if anyone else has told you, but I really miss your podcast episodes with Thomas! I need him back on the show!
Captain, i suggest you look into this guy called Todd v dating if you're interested in a deeper dive in this topic, btw I've been watching your old vids the, Day 78 of nofap and activating your veer chakra, helped me a lot, I'm now in.. God knows how many days, i stopped counting after 30 days, now it must be very well above 100, i failed a few times early on, but it just snapped and i decided I'm not the guy that does all this, honestly i haven't watched porn for maybe even 2 years, thanks man.
I just did 10 minutes of vocal exercises and it improved my voice so much lol. I'm definitely going to be doing these every time I record a video because it sounds so much better.
Actors(Lars-fakes-narcissist-deceivers) teaching people on RU-vid. Don’t take your advice from people that aren’t real….characters. Be you. Be true. Be real. Don’t try to be something you’re not
Also, you need to stop upspeak where you trail your voice upwards at the end of a statement, making it sound like a question and coming from a place of insecurity and approval seeking. Plus, a statement does not end with voice inflection trailing upward like most people do now with this horrible trend. Stop. It’s how children talk when they’re seeking approval.
I really enjoyed the idea of spreading good vibes and making others around you feel good. We're often too occupied in our own heads, and feeling self-aware when there's no real need for it. And just making others feel good would, not only make you cool, and make people want to hang around you, but will also lift the entire mood of the room, and will make others more relaxed as well I believe.
I like the idea of doing the fitness that expresses you the most. For the longest time I always hesitated on running even though I love dying from long distance runs so I would either just not run or make my runs short. Its only lately I've been embracing running by scheduling it in everyday along with weight lifting and it feels right that way
I have realised that how important it is to be healthy and fit , not primarily for others but first for yourself, and tbh both aspects go hand in hand. I am trying to follow on the principles on the "100 best days of my life" video and tbh it's rewarding, it's new , and I feel good that I am striving on a purpose. 27 March is my birthday, I want to be at a better than where I am now :)) This is like a level up on that. I am going to follow on these :))
