You brought up an interesting point about taking a moment (or a few) to sit and really listen to God. We (myself included) pray and then end the prayer, when we should at least take a moment to be quiet and listen to anything God has to say to us. Prayer isn't a one side conversation. It's not just you talking him and that's it. You pray to him and he response back, in multiple ways. I'll definitely try to practice listening and silence in my prayers. Thank you so much for blessing me with this realization! As always, Kylia with the amazing timing lol. I really like how you did a little recap of your tips on the light blue slide at the end the video! I'd like it if you continue to do that at the end of these kinds videos because sometimes you give me so much new knowledge that it's a little tough to pause and take notes of everything.

Be patient, prepare yourself to receive His answer, remove distractions, question if He already gave you the answer but you didn’t realize, ask for confirmation and so many other factors to consider. Wow this is for me. I struggle to be still and this crazy busy evil world makes me anxious and impatient. When i try to pray i cant calm down my mind and i cant fully close my eyes and speak to him because I am all about worldly stuff.

I’m excited for the Cast Your Cares challenge 😀 My goal is to couple it with STAYING OFF SOCIAL MEDIA!! That is such a struggle. I’m not on nearly as much as I used to be, but I can do better. I literally just seen this on my timeline ❤. I feel like it was meant for me to see this . I have been praying to God but find myself going fast because I feel like a lot is going on. I needed this because I have been praying for guidance and clarity and this explains why. I need to practice stillness . Because I am the person who feels like I have to stay busy.

This is good & on time once again💕 I have been struggling especially this week with just being @ peace with when God will bring what I need not my wants!!! I definitely have a problem being still enough to hear God. I have a "schedule" set for different times throughout the day which sounds bad, but I work so well off of set schedules. I figure the more consistent I am, the more natural it will become.

I’m grateful for your obedience to do this video. It was a direct answer to my prayer I prayed earlier today. This video was so on time! When you spoke of the scripture of how God will be strength in your weakness. I needed to hear that! Also the saying of God delights in all areas of the godly. I have areas where I feel I’m detached from God because I’m not acting godly but I have to remember he welcomes all of me. I’m praying I allow my anxiousness and need to always be in “noise” to be divinely removed from my life & I can be more still.

I am waiting on a financial breakthrough and let’s just say i need this breakthrough like yesterday. I was talking to God and prayed. I spoke to Him honestly i feel helpless and literally cannot do anything about this situation etc… I said all this to him and had to remind myself who he was and I need to just let him do what hes going to do. Then started scrolling on here when I was done and this video came up. Just what I needed to hear. My only problem is when i talk to God and pray i actually sit a wait to hear from him and I never do, but I stay consistent with it and one I will.

This is all true but extremely difficult when you go for days without food and your child is crying for food but nothing is available then you sit to wonder why God has chosen to let you and your child literally starve what exactly is the purpose? When all you do does not materialize. It's hard to sit still and trust God. I believe he is seeing me and my struggles but why he is not helping me what do i need to learn?

That can definitely be a frustrating place to be in. I’m going to share a response that I gave another lady in a similar situation. Even when God is silent it never means that He is ignoring you. “For no one is abandoned by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion because of the greatness of his unfailing love. For he does not enjoy hurting people or causing them sorrow.” ‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭31‬-‭33‬ ‭NLT‬‬ We have to remind ourselves that we were created to worship. Whether God responds in the way we want or not does not matter. I know it’s hard but worship is actually the thing that will help you to overcome seasons of suffering. My advice to you would be to prioritize worship and when you sit still have a worship instrumental playing. While you’re sitting meditate on scripture related to your situation. Praying things get better for you 🤍

So, when I do sit for an hour and get nothing from God, what then? Or I do worship him and feel nothing or get no word from him, what then? I’m losing my hope and my faith as I sit back and wait for him to “talk” to me or change me. I’m very frustrated. God knows what I’m going through and it seems like the only way to fix it is do it myself

Great question! I would find a scripture to mediate on and just repeat it over and over in your mind. The goal is not to clear your mind but to focus it on Christ.
