Made a new GD video! Dark Odyssey is by far my favorite level in the game, so I thought I may as well make a video on how to beat it. Hopefully, this helps someone beat the level, and have as good of an experience with it as I did.
In other news, I'm starting a podcast with a couple friends called Crystal Clear: every week (hopefully) we're going to talk about an album and have a fun time. The first episode should be out on RU-vid and Spotify in the next couple of days: we hope you enjoy it!

Hey, little tip for respawning while recording - if you press Escape right after pressing the Restart button, the level will be paused right where the checkpoint is. I do it every time and it works, you will need something that disables quitting the level by pressing Escape though, just to avoid accidents

U need to remember that the very last click on dark odyssey is removed in start pos and practice runs

Wow, thanks for these tips! I kinda want to beat this level after I beat Misty Mountains for my second extreme, I died yesterday at 79 at the ship dual, but if I'm done with this, I will try to beat this level with these tips :)

Well, I just practiced the level with your tips and now I finally beat the level in practice mode! Like, that's already an achievement because the dual is so hard!! But thanks for explaning how everything works in the dual! And I have a question, if you are in low detail mode, does the last spike get removed?

i only have 5 hard demons and 1 insane demon (future funk II) which feels like hard demon to me and it only became insane because its long so im not sure i can beat dark oddysey but i got 46% at it, and this really helped me at the duals, especially the hard straight flying ship at end, i kept dying there at practice so wish me luck, thx for this vid

this has been very helpful, I am jumping to this from CraZy by Davjt and it has helped with a lot of things, especially the transition from the 2nd dual i could not get it for the life of me and this helped a lot, thanks! :D

can somebody please explain to me how in the duals he clicks to activate the triggers but he doesn't jump? I can't manage to figure that thing out to pass the level please help :(

It’s a bug because of 2.2 update, you should look for a fixed version of the level until it gets fixed

@@GabRioBluyeah, you can. You can’t in practice mode, or in a startpos, but from 0 an extra 1 spike jump is added on at the very end to trick players.

was absolutely what I said to myself like 5 years ago when I’d been playing for a year now I have progress on Yatagarasu which was the hardest level at the time and I was pretty positive I’d never make it past an easy demon yeah maybe you’re right but you genuinely never know
