We'll be taking an in dept look on how to beat the Kingdom Hearts 3 Re:Mind DLC. This time around is against Young Xehanort! The final boss of Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance!
The easiest way I found to beat YX's final phase when he's dropped to 1HP is to store up a double form with the oblivion/oathkeeper keyblade, wait until he launches the first volley of blizzards, and immediately use the finisher. If your attack is high enough, you can easily break his armor and take out the remaining HP he has, winning the fight.
the risk dodge strat for the whip attacks was what did it for me, it made him so much easier. that, and airstepping to him after he does his unblockable attack, both gave me way more opportunities to attack. thanks for the video
Nice job also what difficulty mode are you on just curious cause I bought this game when it first came out and chose proud not knowing this would be what I had face years later 🥲
Uh Larxene is a Spam X kind of fight last I checked. I'd also say Marluxia is but his two Doom DMs fuck it up. Vanitas isn't also too bad aside form his DM though you can just cancel it with Thunder or by whacking him a bunch.
The only time I am getting the chance to hit him is the first volley of attacks and then the first clock attack. After that he just doesn't stop and does completely different attacks from what he is doing to you. Is this cause I have all pro codes on or did they just buff him? Well, I finally beat him with brute force. Boss guides just seem to never work for me :/
i alrdy beat all of them, but theres some opportunities i miss/cant figure out yet. time to learn them purely for style :D also something you can do is use counterslash during most blocks and then block right away again. this does some nice chip damage over the entire fight.
Instead of using thunder on YX when he uses the first volley of blizzard projectiles, you can hit him with a melee attack and stagger him. This'll give you 2 free combos on him. Just remember to block those projectiles on their way back or else you'll get punished. Lastly, if you do it too early, you can end up hitting his heal counter, and getting massively punished, so do be careful of that.
