Im gonna come to Amanda's defense on the pocket bit. Women's pants pockets are way smaller than men's pockets. With the level of physical activity she was doing upside down there was no way the door knob was going to stay in her pocket. Her best bet probs would have been to try to hold it in her mouth
I was scrolling to find a comment like this!! Women's pant pockets - especially jeans, are like 1/3 of the size of men's I think the best option in that situation is to use your shirt to secure the ball before tying it to yourself
Yes! Unless she is wearing either women’s specialty pants/cargo pants with multiple pockets or mens pants, there is no way that ball was staying in! She is lucky to even have pockets let alone pockets big enough to hold the ball for a few seconds
Mouth or put it inside the pants or in her bra, like almost any woman has at some point carried something in her bra because women's clothing either has no pockets or they're uselessly small, so gotta shove stuff there as your bra is always with you xD
@@lazyduck6922 if you have pants you can’t even put you’re phone in then it’s on you because if the pants had enough space for a phone it would of had enough space for a door handle
Let's be honest: The lure to attract victims this time was pretty good. The lure this time was a puzzle in itself, so solving it to win access to the game immediately feels rewarding for the victim, making them wanting to see more. The prize is also perfect. $10.000 is a considerable amount of money, but it's also not much. If some company made a new Escape Room, the pitch of "The first to beat it won $10.000!" it would be totally credible, it's the perfect number for a publicity stunt that feels like a lot but doesn't realy change your life nor anything like that, a number that a company can easily throw for a stunt like that. Of course, if they did their research on the company before jumping into it, they may have smelled foul and made the right choice of not going. But if we talk about the quality of their lure, this one was top-notch. It could fool almost anyone that isn't incredibly paranoid.
It is also a technique that cults use to make sure possible new candidates stay. They begin with something small which the candidate will obviously say yes to and then attack with something bigger.
Totally agree… I have Game Show Network on in the background while watching this video and I’m suddenly hoping MasterMinds isn’t secretly killing everyone who can’t get passed Ken Jennings. 😂
I agree, but I also feel like $10,000 would be a great amount to lure people in because it's on par with shows like Wipeout that draw in a lot of people. I feel like a lot of people (myself included) would be like "10,000 for an hour? hell yeah!" As opposed to a higher dollar amount that might raise eyebrows from those of us who have seen too many movies.
The biggest criticism I have on this is that the girl almost certainly put the handle as far into her pocket as she could. Hell, we're lucky she even had that much in terms of pockets.
I like how you said the kid was only surviving thanks to his luck. Ironically, it's also because of his 'luck' that he 'solved' the 'invitation box puzzle'. He threw it on the ground, out of frustration, and he just got 'lucky'.
It's funny how in "Escape room 2" video you say another comment saying : "Basically if you ever get stuck in an Escape Room, all you can do is hope that you're stuck with Cinema Summary, because his intelligence will get you out for sure" Proof: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_7GUu-OCHJ8.html You're only being Charismatic @Just Some Guy without a Mustache you only want people to like you and get popular in a way of being in everyone's comment section which I find is annoying. Seeing a person every day using Charisma on society isn't very welcoming. I feel somewhat disturb by your presence of exitance and it should be eradicated.
@VeryPeeved OMG that's so wrong ! I believe same thing happened to the creator of the Brazen Bull where you were burned alive. Someone ordered him to make it and threw him in as the first test
@@VeryPeeved looking up many sources, both of them did! That's why one of them flew too high and the wax on their wings melted and they fell to their death, then the other was free but in grief.
I absolutely loved this movie, when I was in the passenger seat during a minor fender bender and once information was exchanged I told my support person who asked if I was ok, I told him I don't care if I have whiplash I don't want to miss the movie. We got there just in time at the beginning.
22:39 fun fact, the liquid in the bags is called Saline which is sodium chloride mixed salt used to treat severe cold among other things, seeing that it has salt in it makes it even more effective as a blocker when mixed in a towel/blanket.
i don't whether i would scared or relieved to be in a escape room with cinema summary. On one hand he got the survival knowledge on the other hand he does like to kill his friends to survive.
Considering alot of his solutions are "Right, fuck the team save yourself! Use them as bait if it's possible or keep them alive for later" I would say my first move would be to try and kill him so he doesn't get me first lmao
Technically he KNOWS how to let his adversaries put themselves in danger, or make mistakes. He knows how to use those around him to his advantage. So if you are more useful to him alive then you're good
The way I IMMEDIATELY hit pause when you blamed Amanda’s pants pocket bro, how can you be so detail oriented and not know what the deal w womens pant pockets are lol I thought you were gonna say put it ANYwhere else but the nonexistent depth you’re imagining lmao
They ran out of water in the first room because Amanda was having a panic attack brought on by PTSD from the IED attack she survived and Zoey gave her some from the cooler before Zoey realized the coasters and got the idea to use cups filled of water from the cooler to weigh down the coasters.
So no one is gonna talk about “the phone having no signal” arent all modern smartphones (touchscreen) able to make emergency calls regardless of signal
I think you missed an obvious thing they should have done on the ice, which was to lay down on their backs or stomachs to increase surface area on the ice. It's clear that the real issue in this room is the ice breaking over the temperature going down.
Amanda doesnt fall to her death. In the earlier releases of the second movie, it’s revealed that the bottom of the shaft was padded and she survived. She was then forced to design the next game’s rooms in order to save her daughter. The rooms were based on her personal experiences (daughter and mother at the beach, dead husband/receiving blood money, final room is her daughter’s bedroom). Sadly, the ending was changed in the later releases and now we dont know what happened to amanda Edit: i didnt spoil shit. In basically every version of this movie that you’ll see on any website there’s a different ending and beginning than the one i just spoke about because of reasons unknown to me.
@@thatmagichatguy8761 This movie was supposed to be a one-shot movie with the ending implying that the survivors will still die. It was written to be just one bit it did well enough to get a second.
For the hospital part of the game, all the ideas were very smart and could’ve been used. But imagine you have 5 minutes to escape a room that will soon be filled with gas. Kinda stressful 💀💀💀
Technically, Jason was not killed by the poison, in his scuffle with Ben, Jason ends up smacking his head on a part of the room, and that is implied to be his cause of death, not the poison directly, it's karma for him killing his friend on the boat during his hypothermia incident in a way.
To be fair with all of these how to escape videos, the people who are saying how to beat them have practically 100x more time to think about and research and observe each death trap. Edit: thanks for a lot of likes
true also but these movie also last between 1-2 hours watch time, but the people in the situations generally have anywhere from 12-36 hours sometimes multiple days, even up to a month or more.
If you train your brain to think a certain way, then of you're placed in a death trap like these, you might remember the video and are able to think through the trap faster than if you hadn't watched the video
What's missing here is the upside-down room radio music + phone noise pattern. It repeats and at that exact time another part of the room falls down. They could have used that knowledge to know when it's safe on the ground and when it's not.
Its really poetic that even finding the location of the headquarters to track them down was a puzzle. Kinda feels like the true reward is something a bit more cult-like in nature.
But the fact that their location was a solvable puzzle makes it a lot more suspicious. They have already shown that they capable of impossible rooms, so having the location be a puzzle makes it obvious that it's a trap
You know what would be a good twist for one of these movies? To find its not a death game, and things aren't dangerous. The heat would stop before getting too high The water is actually not freezing, or there's someone ready under there with oxygen and a hatch out of the water The fall isn't actually that long, its just an illusion and you land safely. The gas just knocks you out, doesn't kill you So the people running it are just making scarily realistic ones, not killing people and getting away with it because reasons
So the protagonists would be terrified to dead for nothing? And in the end, when everything is supposed to be explained the last "survivor", in a fight or flight situation, acts quickl, hurting/ killing whoever came to explain the situation I like the idea of it ^^
@@missnanunana01 this exists, its got holland rogan i think her name is? (she plays lydia in teen wolf) and its called like no escape room or something!
Huddling together in one group standing on thin ice could, and likely would kill all of them like the kid. If the weight of the smallest person cracked the ice, the weight of the entire group on a small surface area certainly would too
"If you've been invited to play a game for 10k$, than you have to assume that what you're being asked to do is worth that much money" Mr Beast: Gives $10.000 a day to a guy for chilling in a room with ps5, vr headset, etc...
Mr. Beast probably does stuff like for like 25% lols and good feelings, and 75% investing that money into content, good will, and positive brand associations. So that when you see mr.beast products, you are more likely to watch, buy, or say good word of mouth.
i never realized it when i watched the movie, but now that i think about it i would be a perfect candidate for the hospital puzzle. i have dysautonomia, postural orthostatic tachycardia, AND atrial fib so it wouldn't be difficult to get my heart to an abnormal height. even on meds, i get up to the 130's when doing low impact exercise, not to mention when i miss a dose edit: i unpaused the video and was reminded that the puzzle was supposed to require low heart bpm LOL
"As the man dies from the deadly toxin" In this case that would be incorrect. During Ben and Jason's scuffle for the antidote, Ben shoved Jason away and pushed his head into a corner, which is what killed Jason.
I think one thing that no one mentioned was that after huddling around each other for heat, they should have used the jacket to melt the ice cube faster, since the jacket will prevent any cold air from slowing the melting process.
Even better: there's no reason they had to melt the entirety of the block of ice. They just needed to dig to the item in the middle. Just pee on it to get a tunnel started, then focus on melting towards the center
You left out that the redhead was a veteran, which is very vital to how she behaves. I’m a veteran and there’s a crap ton of hubris that comes with that. You have to feel invincible to function in a war zone, even if you know deep down that it’s a lie and you can fail just like anyone else. She did what she did largely because she understands leadership and she doesn’t figure a game can beat her, or anything for that matter. Double edged sword, but it explains a ton about her actions. Failure isn’t an option in the military and her entire history told her she didn’t ever fail… until she did of course.
Spoiler Alert: Amanda didn’t actually design the rooms, she designed the rooms for the second movie because she got saved in the third room and was forced to do it to save her kid
Are they trying to turn this into a franchise? If I was one of the survivors, I wouldn’t go anywhere, ever. But then again, they would probably just turn my house into a escape room. Lol
This feels like it's happened before, I vividly remember him explaining using urine to fill the glasses.. Although it wouldn't matter, even with a gun to my head, there's no way I'd be able to solve a rubix cube to even enter the game in the first place.. Lmaoo
This is a dream come true i was so happy with the how to survive escape room 2 (escape room tournament of champions) and I was so sad to find out they didnt have a video on the first one but now they do and it was so worth it!
I just thought about something thanks to the poster in the background. Would you show us "How to beat the Galactic Empire in every way possible in Star Wars." I would Imagine there will be a heck of a lot to explain so you may take your time if needed.
I don't know how big of a team you have with you, but I can at least say that you're an excellent narrator and storyteller :) I'm *assuming* you write most of the scripts 'cause you started the channel, so I'm really happy you've kept up with the idea and that nice balance between walking us through the movie's options *and* break off from it to show us other options This is a fun channel :D
Excellent video, as usual. However, if memory serves me correctly, the game had exactly one rule : Do not use brute force to destroy anything. Thus, I'm not sure breaking the windows at 22:58 would be left unpunished.
The twists in this movie is insane, there aren't a lot but there is, and i really like how despite being a death game, it doesn't really feature any bloody or gory scenes much like other death games, which i find interesting and unique
I appreciate the hell out of your work with these videos and the information/strategies you discuss, but there are usually a few things within 2 topics that I (with my very specific background) feel inclined to correct for the sake of passing on information- guns (not present here) and drugs. There is a misconception about hallucinogens where people believe that you most affected sense is your sight. And while that's certainly a component, it's actually very rare to have full-blown, lucid hallucinations that are indistinguishable from reality. Typically you will have some level of "weirdness" to your sight but it's almost always pretty obvious did something is real or imagined, mostly because your sight becomes distorted, wavey, colorful, and things seem to move. You probably won't see something that's completely imaginary but your brain will interpret normal things differently. As far as your sense of touch goes, it's more likely to have an effect of heightened sensitivity or unfamiliarity. Like, if you touched something cold, it could feel like it's sharp or fuzzy. Basically, all of your senses become overwhelmed as hallucinogens/psychedelics cause your brain to flood itself with neurotransmitters while also building a barrier between your cerebrum and cerebellum. It's VERY difficult to focus on complex or abstract concepts in a physical manner as most of your thoughts want to stay in your mind and marinate. I'm only saying this to describe the players' mental states and capabilities to solve any problem once they are under the influence of a powerful hallucinogen. They're meant to take you on a mental journey rather than a physical one and, as such, will make the task at hand substantially more difficult. It's also a bit odd that this substance is also somehow lethal. That is VERY atypical for hallucinogens/psychedelics because your brain can only produce so much of it's various neurochemicals. That means the drugs usually have a ceiling, above which no additional effects are experienced but they will continue for a longer duration. I'm guessing they had to include some sort of actual toxin as well.
I was looking for this comment! I personally have hallucinated so vividly that I imagined the sight, sound, and sensation of pushing sand out of a mini zen garden I had onto the floor. I felt the lack of sand when I was done, and it was a complete reality to me until I woke up the next morning and found all the sand in the box with no one around to have cleaned it up.
@@ft.meganmccarthy8865 Well, there's not a _ton_ of things I am that intimately familiar with, but fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you view it in a given context) I've had a huge amount of experience with these experiences and a decent bit of training in communication (despite there being a few weird autocorrect typos in my previous entry.) I can only really describe my own experiences with both hallucinogens/psychedelics and my brain's own "distortion" of reality (which other people don't experience.) I've dealt with that stuff (various types of sensory hallucinations, all very mild) for around 23 years and at least half as much for the induced kinds. I've also had a gift for being able to describe things, so I usually feel obligated to share my own experiences with others so they don't feel so alone in their experience of the world or alterations or reality. Though it definitely wasn't all fun, easy-going, or enjoyable, I've still felt like at least trying to share my personal experiences with others, since we all view the world in vastly different ways. With that said, I've had a few similar experiences with what you shared. I've had some hallucinations that were so vivid and lucid that I was convinced that I was the only one who was really seeing things for what they were. I was able to see, hear, and feel them while everyone else was just incredibly confused (and worried for my well-being.) Once your brain is convinced that something is real, there's very little you can do to combat it aside from letting go of whatever preconceived notions you may have of it, and let some time pass. Whether that is an external chemical or an imbalance of endogenous neurotransmitters, it simply needs to be outlasted. Having a solid support network (which could just be one person that cares about you or an entire medical team) to ensure your safety and a bit of time to allow things to settle down is about the only good way to make sure that you have the chance to come back to reality. But regardless of all that, the only thing I can say for certain is that there MUST be a higher power at work to have kept someone like me around. If that means that only one thing I share helps someone else get through a moment of difficulty or psychosis (be it natural or artificially induced), then my entire life meant something greater than myself. It's nearly impossible to describe the feeling of experiencing an alternate reality from the rest of the world. But it's even more difficult to describe what it's like to come out the other side with so much gratitude and love as I've found. And I genuinely hope that the experiences I share from my own previous struggles can find there way to someone else and help them in some positive way. My kids are still too young to understand, so I just want to help someone in some way. 🙂
I reeeeaaaally want THIS GUY to _create_ escape rooms. Not scary life or death ones, but ones where you can press a button in the room and he gives you a hint and shit like that.
"If you've been invited to play a game for $10,000, then you have to assume that what you're asked to do is worth that much money in return" Mr.Beast: "Be the last one to step out of your Cube."
If I was stuck in an escape room with cinema summary I don't know if I would be scared or relieved. On one hand hes really smart when it comes to survival knowledge, on the other hand, he prefers to kill his friends to survive.
After watching most of How To Beat's Videos i am fully convinced that even if every dangerous Escape Room Villain ( JigSaw, The Mysterious Maker, Ect..) made a room They would not be able to kill How To Beat.
The only thing who make me love this escape movie more than the other one is the design of the escape room itself. The rooms were really well put, designed and were well searched. Bravo at the team who put that out
Puzzle game: says the most iconic line from an even more iconic song “you’ll go down in history” Everyone in the movie: *acts like they never heard a single Christmas song in their whole life*
im so glad you covered escape room, it's always been one of my favorite movies ever since I've discovered it and loved to see your pov and what other strategies you cna use to survive :)
Escape room is a great movie in my opinion, and as soon as I found out about this channel I knew it was bound that you had to make a video about this, gotta be my favorite video out of all summaries
