@@hawkeyestiguy although age does come into it, it’s often cheaper to add that extra driver on. Same with being fully comp instead of 3rd party, fire and theft. Another big one is occupation. Sometimes you can reword your job title to bring the premium down.

@@demonheart13 hes openly admitting that hes doing it only to make it cheaper which can be classed as insurance fraud. Is the car actually on the drive? Where is actually parked, what is the risk is it higher or lower then what hes said Is his mom going to be driving the car at all or is he going to driving it 100% of the time if yes the risk is substantually higher and the policy is incorrectly priced. To many red flags and an insurer will just outright refuse to even do a qoute as they cant determin the risk involved

Fun fact for UK, for me I've actually found parking it on the street (depends area mine was quite housing estate) was the cheapest (2014 at the time of checking) if was only a few pounds cheaper (£5-£30) I think this was due to keyless theft. Adding family members can sometimes push it up if you add more than one. If you plan to modify a car (mine was a Mr2 at 17& and a skyline at 24) more than 4 or five mods can push the insurance down.... Also sometimes it's cheaper to say you use it for work and pleasure rather than just pleasure (just take it work work at least once.

I apologize on behalf of the transperent insurance industry, but this stupid adds be confusing people. I am a general lines licensed agent in Texas for property and casualty, so I think I know what im talking about when I tell you that you can not negotiate the price of insurance nowhere you go! Insurance contracts are given on "take it or leave" basis. This means that you either like the price or you dont! Thats why you can not negotiate with any insurance agent. Insurance is based on many factors that determine your insurance rate when you get a quote. Things like driving history, where you live, previews insurance history, and even credit can impact your rate. The people who want to negotiate a price do it out of ignorance. It all depends on YOU! I would also like to add that you should also do your research for your coverages and determine what you want on your policy! Dont let no shady insurance agent tell you that you have "full coverage" when you only have liability with Comp and collision since full cover can be very subjective. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR PEOPLE!

As an insurance agent, saying your mother is the main driver when she isn’t is considered material misrepresentation, which is a reason to deny a claim if found out. Do not do this.

If you car gets broken into or smashed while it’s parked on the street, your insurance coverage can be void…What Mark is teaching is essentially insurance fraud and is easily caught, tell the truth when filing- most insurance companies do their due-diligence in these matters

Working for a car insurance company, I can say the most expensive place to keep it is in the garage, but in most cases ‘road outside the residence’ is cheaper than the driveway. Also always use comparison websites every year, or you will be overpaying drastically!

I have worked in a brokers insurance and heres a few things im gonna say: 1. It doesnt matter where you park it at in your house or apartment as long as its at the adress it doesnt matter 2. Never put it in a young kids name or someone over the age of 65 because they are considered high risk drivers your price will go up. Same thing if you add your son or daughter as soon as they get their license. 3.Paying in full or paying on time will always be beneficial because sometimes after your term is up it can go down. Finally, if your going through a brokers company. DO NOT scream and yell at them when they are trying to help you. Its like throwing a sandwich at a cashier at McDonalds for messing up your order. Tell us what your problem is and we will do our best to help you

UK insurance is a scam. In normal countries you insure a car not a person to drive. The best part most of cheap insurance company don't allow to drive other people cars. For example when I started driving I could not use parent car in emergency because wasn't under the policy. This could be much simpler, and I don't want to talk about the prices which are crazy high in towns. Hopefully people will notice that we are ripped off by government.

Okay, what about your age, if you're under 25, have fun trying to remotely save for anything. Parked in the driveway in a less than perfect crime area? Up it goes. Male v Female? Better damn well hope you're not a male under 25, parked on the driveway in a mildly dodgy area... And if your mum doesn't reside at the same address as you, have fun making a claim when that small incidental is investigated. Misrepresentation is grounds for cancelled or refused insurance. And that's a big black mark on your record. Keep to day trading mate.

Lol, try getting insured as a first time on a Mazda Mx5 with 90HP, cheapest I’ve found is £4000, ridiculous.

Well I messed around with the options and my insurance went down by £12 a month by changing to parking the car down the street and doing more miles made it go down again by a few quid 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ less miles and parked on the drive should be cheaper but turns out it’s not
