From I learned from this video : If you are top against Illaoi, you win from your bot and mid winning the game before Illaoi does. Great video, learned a lot. I'll remember this the next time I'm being hit from my T2 bush while Illaoi is hitting my from the top mid bush and I have 0 tower support.
Illaoi's never useless, the E cooldown is very small for it's reward, second of all, it has more range than most gap closers and she heals far too much.
It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t hit it though. I just played garen v illaoi and she got ahead from some early ganks. I literally just stood behind minions or dodged her e once or twice and I came back… I was playing garen though
Still don't understand how to beat her or at least how to go even with her. 1. You most likely can't 1v1 her, you can't 2v1 her. 2. You are human, so it is guaranteed to get hit by her E at least once. You walk away with half of your health, she shoves the wave. By the time your tentacle hallucination ends, she has her E back. 2.1 You are under the tower, you have no minions, she has a wave. Now she either takes all the platings, because if you engage you'll lose either way (you are not full hp; you can't run her down since tentacles are everywhere behind her; you lose cs). 2.2 Or she uses her E again and forces you to go under your tier 2 turret (you are not full hp; you have no minions to hide; you are stuck near the tower so you have no room to dodge; you lose minions if you don't come closer to farm them; or if you come closer, then you get hit by her E again because you can't move much because of the turret and you are stuck with autoattack animation, lose cs and xp). She either kills you, or makes you hug tier 2 turret and lose anyway. All I learned from this video was her abilities, which I already knew and that you should not fight her if you can't (which is probably always, unless you are a really strong early champion).
What champions do you play? If you play someone like morde or Mundo that can take a smack or two just trade over cs. She’ll use her W and Q to farm and trade, she’ll run out of mana pretty quick. And once she does theres your chance to fight without getting punished too badly.
So, in summary, you can't. Cool, "Just don't fight her where she wants to", so anywhere on the map where there are walls? Becasue she can spawn tentacles anywhere, "she's never alone", "don't gank her" if you don't have cs abilities you're out? I swear this game is something.
Illaoi is broken af. Needs a hefty nerf. Would be nice if turrets could target her tentacles too. If she misses her E, it should slow her. She is, after all, reaching into the netherworld. If that fails, you don't think those powers would tax her?
Seriously, I think she would be a fairer champ if her E got increased CD. I can dodge her E, go for short trade, and then can just E me on the way out like WTF
Great video, Iiloi feels like a nasus that knows how to scale. I'm in bronze and we always lose against illoi idk how to kill her. In team fights she's a monster solo she's practically invisible and by the time you leave her e range you getting rammed whether like it or not.
I’m glad you liked the video! So if I’m in champ select and someone steals illaoi from me I’ll run a bruiser with some sort of zoning capability to counter her. Either Morde or Yorick, with a slight preference for Yorick. So you can trap Illaoi in the circle and then use your skill shot to flint the zombie minions at her, and she tends to melt pretty fast. Essentially you want to zone her either away from tentacles or away from you. Illaoi just wants to stand in one place and fight, so you just have to not let her bully you (easier said than done I know) so to help your laning phase, stand behind minions, so that her e smacks the minions instead of you, and done let her keep more than two tentacles on the walls, and never all in her next to a tentacle, especially after level 6. Be patient, you don’t have to get kills on illaoi to win lane, focus on CS and rotating for jungler and not dying to her. Most Illaoi’s try to hard push minions when farming, just the nature of her Q which she uses to farm. So you can take advantage of this since she’ll be low on mana, but also just let her push minions to you and just clean them up under tower or just outside of it, and always make sure you control how many tentacles she is allowed to have out. Don’t get into WW3 over the tentacles but definitely position yourself when farming so you can clean some of them up where she can’t combo you. But when in Bronze, and I can’t stress this enough, be patient. Just farm and keep an eye on your mini map for jungler if he gets jumped on in the top side jungle. Eventually the enemy top laner will get bored and try to all in you or rotate to mid for a gank or into jungle for rift. Bronze players LOVE to fight and throw hands so take advantage of that mindset and make them thirst for it, so that they overstep. They’ll try to dive you under tower or they’ll ULT with no tentacles and then the Illaoi can be wasted like a GTA V player. You can swoop in and finish her, depending on whatever champ you use. Pick darius, or varus, or garen. If u pick varus, u destroy her, ur ulti counter hers hard, just avoid E, and win. Garen, fight after 6, bait ulti, go in again, kill. And darius is just easy to out dps, and bait ulti as well

the utter delusion of calling her an older champion from the time of no outplays is so unreal, no offense. She isn't really from that stat stick fight till you drop era at all.
bro I was playing a ranked game and I suck ass at the game but I saw illaoi and decided fuck that and looked up how to beat her got here watched the video on 2x and then told my jungle not to try and gank top they then proceeded to try and gank top 4 times dying each time the first 2 I tried to help and ended up dying as well then the last 2 just watched as our jungle died then we lost the game cus the jungle rage quit
I'm a Sett OTP but an Illaoi I met a month ago gave ne PTSD, sure I can clear her tentacles fast but once she slams me, her the damage I dealt on Illaoi is just gone. I have learnt to built anti heal (dont judge I'm relatively new to the game) but I have yet to meet another Illaoi to test myself. Any more tips before I rematch this tenetacle woman?
The only way i wim her is baiting her for a jg gank and losing all my CS and tower. So kda wise ill look good top but at the expense of tower cs and ganks. And grieves does nothing in general to all healing champs, it needs to be upped
Remember when you could dodge illaois abilites or disengage when she ulted? Just lost a game as panth versus her where I was ahead in gold and managed to dodge EVERYTHING untill she got iveborn gauntlet. That item is SO broken on Illaoi and ksante.

renekton first item goredrinker 4/0 got Double on double gank from gragas on illaoi , she is 0/2 with only boot , i cant even touch her and kill her and she one shot me . garbage champ
For me it was playing aatrox today and I was 3/1 by about 12 minutes and then every single time I tried to kill her she missed pretty much everything then R'd and healed a good 30+% health in the time by third q can even cast and kills me. The rest of the game she just hard terrorised me despite me having more minions, 2 levels and gold advantage.
@@coldconcept1 good champ lol , we tried our best to have advantages on lane ,played as good as we can , and she just bounga bounga us. All the efforts we've done served for nothing , even if we got full armor , or anti heal( lol does this mechanics work for any champ btw? ) , or whatever, it's not enough. i just wait and TP out on other lane try to do things but i litteraly don't come back ever in top lane and just hanging around trying things waiting ADC to dominik her shitty ass. Best options for me to be honest
Played a game where i was darius and i beat her in lane 3/0. she still ends up beating my ass in 1v1s even if i run from her ult and fight her after. that should not be allowed on a champ that's 0/3
I just can't do it man. It's ridiculous, it's like she ouscales me then she gets ganked pops ult gets quadra and I'm dead and the game is lost... what?

Just some constructive criticism, you need to balance out the jokes and the information. Right now, way to many jokes causing some frustration picking out the information I need for the game.
she only heals and deals damage and you cant kill her and she will 2 v 1 you and your jungler and win and she will walk out with more health than she started with and she pokes you for half your HP nd she doesnt have to hit you with anything else after she lands her E because her tentacles will keep you out of lane and deal damage and heal her and you will die because she does so much damage holy fuck why does she one shot me
@@felxpog7750 i do, and i win the games because i am good and singed has the biggest learning curve and the highest ceiling skill of the game. So in theory, you can win any match up with singed if you master him to perfection.. like me.
