honestly, i find it brave that she saved the baby. not only did she save the baby's life, but she saved the lives of future visitors incase the son grows up just as messed up

At 9:15 there’s another problem with the gun, and it’s the fact that the weapon should be considered evidence and carefully bagged. He puts it in his boot which tells you he either isn’t a sheriff or isn’t planning on investigating (extremely sketchy).

These movies can simply be prevented if people just stayed in their houses

I want you to to write a horror movie where the protagonist does everything right, no matter how cold hearted it might seem for the others

However, Lee Ermey (the actor who played the sherrif) was an ex-staff sergeant in the marines so regardless of appearance he could probably kick somebodies ass who isn't a semi-decent fighter/brawler. I know its irrelevant for the character he's playing but it's just a point out to always be cautious as you don't know who you're dealing with.

the fact that none of this would have happened if they just drove the other way with the woman or kept on driving past her annoys me because they literally would have easily survived.

Fun fact: Leatherface’s name changes so many times in the series. He has been named Bubba Sawyer Jr in the first movie, then it changed to Thomas Lawrence, John Hayne, and Thomas Hewitt. Also, the location of the movies changed in multiple movies. It first took place in Granger, Moreno county, TX (which isn’t real), but this changes to Fuller, TX (which does exist)

I love how you don’t actually refer to him as Leatherface because the movie never refers to him as such, that’s really great attention to detail!

This is one of those horror movies where you say to yourself “Oh-that can really happen”. It’s why it’s one of my favorite horror movies.

I like how at the end she's just like the lady they picked up. How she had that blank expression, and the fact she didn't want to go back into the town. It shows the lady probably went through what she was experiencing. Nice.

Imagine being in a zombie apocalypse with cinema summary, in a tight situation and he just pauses time and be like "okay" you know he's about to save lives

You also should cover the original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) and the sequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1983 I think). It’s also made all the more sad because obviously the boyfriend was going to propose to her but she was also strongly hinted at as being pregnant. In the conversation among the group before the hitchhiker shows up they offer her beer and pot and she refused stating she’s nauseous, they ask if she’s doing ok because she’s nauseous, she says she is fine, they ask if it’s something she ate or drank, one of the others points out she barely ate anything and only drank bottled water on their trip. All of this strongly points to her knowing she’s pregnant and taking measures to protect the fetus growing inside her.

How to get out alive in any horror scenario Step 1: have not so dumb friends and family Step 2: Think the opposite of what a horror movie protagonist would think. Step 3: binge watch this guy

These videos are great! Even if they did not pick up the hitchhiker I still think they would have ended up being harassed by that crazy cop at some point. This is one of the better horror remakes I remember feeling stressed out throughout the movie and even though Id seen the original several times this kept me on the edge of my seat. This is a great video pointed out somethings I did not pick up on,

Fun fact: Gunnar Hansen, the guy who played leatherface, frequently found himself having to slow way down while running after the other cast members because, even though he was carrying a real chainsaw and wearing giant boots with a leather face mask, he was running much faster than everyone else. Edit: This was in the original 1974 movie, not the specific remake addressed in this video. Sorry for any confusion.

I just noticed how much inspiration Dead By Daylight got from this movie, with the hooks, and hiding in the lockers, that's pretty cool.

This was actually the first movie I saw with Sergeant R. Lee Ermey. Honestly , his character creeped me out more than any other in the movie. The dialogue he uses while getting the dead body is so disturbing.He was an amazing actor and I have seen his other films since then. However, this character still freaks me out even as an adult!

When he was talking about fracturing the chainsaw dudes elbow, I felt that. And I never broke a bone before

Character breathes Cinema Summary: He shouldn't have done that, he first should have made sure no one was around to hear him, cover his mouth so he's only letting air out quietly through his nose, take shorter breathes lasting 500 milliseconds, and cover his eyes so the killer can't see the light bounce from his retinas.

Me and some friends had a discussion similar to this on how to survive a slasher movie and one of my friends actually gave some decent advice; Act like you're trying to survive in prison IRL if you're in a horror movie. -Keep your head down and keep a low profile: If you're in a hostile environment, keep your head down and just keep moving. Don't stop for nobody, don't try to help nobody, just keep moving until you're out of the threat zone. -Strength in numbers: Just like in prison, if are a part of a gang, then you have protection and can use your numbers to your advantage. In prison, if you are alone or separated from your group, then you are a much easier target to pick off. But if you stick together, than your chances of survival in prison (or in this case, a horror movie) is much higher. -Fight dirty: Just as the name implies, it is a fight for survival. You win every fight you don't start, but if you're ever in a fight in prison, then all rules are off. Bite, claw, choke, low blow, bash against walls and ground, etc. Do WHATEVR it takes to survive the encounter and ensure they won't be coming for you again. All in all, this small list really did stick out to me, considering the fact that very few times do you ever think like a convict, but IRL convicts live in the equivalent of a horror movie everyday, so they are probably the best suited to handle it...
