The TV series made Pennywise's weakness more clear. When they thought the clown was a werewolf, they attacked it with silver, which worked because the clown is bound by the rules of the shape it takes, and it's strongly influenced by how others see it. The more scared you are, the more power it has.

The problem with everyone getting firearms is that they seem untrained, and in the house they may hit one another with crossfire. Or an illusion might trick them into sooting one another, or themselves. Melee weapons are best, since IT likes to come in close. If they do strike one another accidentally, the wounds are damage less likely to result in a fatality. Besides we know that it strengthens through fear, but has to come in close to do any damage or kill someone. 😊

A quick-tongued Brit would definitely insult Pennywise into oblivion

Wasn't it that Pennywise preys on anyone but it prefers children because of how much easier it is to instill fear in them? Since fear is like barbeque sauce for him haha.

Its amazing how good they casted Eddie in both movies. Kid Eddie was a convincing Hypochondriac. Also Kid and Adult Eddie look so much alike that it is also convincing that I can see its Eddie all grown up. Are the actors related or something?

It'd really funny if after bullying him down to be a little less than an equal physical match, one of them (preferably Bev imo) just threw straight hands with him like a street fight. His powers would be very weak cause of the 0 fear so he'd be forced to square up also i love that good ol Stephen appeared in his own movie, reminded me of Stan Lee. Really shows how proud of his work he is and that he himself loves how it's been adapted to film

I don't know if I'd assume that pennywise attacking the young adults at the start as it getting stronger, rather that since it didn't get to feed properly last cycle it's getting desperate.

Funny how some people said"all you got to do is bully him" yet in the book they used the ritual of chud and maturin was also helping them fighting it so it's not all because"they bullied him" to 💀. Another thing is people are also saying"it can only survive on fear" no it doesnt. Fear makes the meat"taste better" if he wanted to, he would've smoked all there packs.

The reason that the novel was so impactful and successful is because it's a "relatable" (as in people can identify with the characters' plights rather than the monster(s)) story that has an antagonist which is a manifestation of childhood trauma.

I keep watching these videos, taking mental notes on what i should do if i find myself in situations like these, but at the same time, i know that i would be begging for my death by minute 1

The ritual actually works, you see, they need an artifact that they value the most, Richie's artifact IS eddie, thats Richie's secret he likes eddie, he values him the most that's why when eddie dies pennywise kinda loss its power

i think IT eating adults means opposite since IT eating kids was because kids would feel more fear so tasted better so IT has grow weaker and probably wanted OG kids to return so that he would become more powerful or to end the survivors

If I remember correctly the Steven Kings books share a universe and the losers basically have the shining. Their town also seems like some sort of farm for the shining with IT basically farming them. It's why the concentration of shining holders is so high and yet the shining vampires can't find it because IT is protecting the town? The vampires don't seem to even be aware of the town or they would have probably eaten everyone already. It also shares possible connections with how in the shining, people with a little bit of shining like the father would be controlled by evil forces, enough of it any they can resist or fight back like Danny while people without any would be unaffected until the evil reached it's highest power like how the mother didn't see anything until the climax. Possibly why Beth's father was one of the psychopathic adults while Beth was one of the losers. Their bully also likely had a bit but not enough to resist.

Watching this reminds me that one of the chef differences between horror and fantasy is that in fantasy humans are simply prepared to fight back against the supernatural world and understand it.

Technically none of these methods will kill pennywise. All those encounters are essentially a mental projection of himself. The kids are pretty much fighting a mental ghost. The real pennywise lives in the macroverse, a creature most likely bigger than earth itself. Made of rotting lights. The only possibly way of killing pennywise is another cosmic being like Maturin the cosmic turtle. But there's also a chance that pennywise could over power Maturin. Beating pennywise is like trying to fight a lovecraftian outer God. You can destroy those mental projections but he will be back in a few years. Even after IT chapter 2 he returns in dreamcatcher

IT Chapter Two is obviously the best horror movie ever for 2019.

The part with the spider… they didn’t kick it right away because it was Stan’s face if I remember correctly. Also, they barely remember anything in detail still so it’s harder for them to anticipate what Pennywise will do (and funnier for Pennywise to use their memories like that)

Its not through their words that they defeated pennywise, Its that they overcame their fears. Pennywise mostly hunts on kids because they have a fear of clowns or some sort. I think pennywise was proud because his last words were "look at you, your all grown up"
