Good content and great strategy. As a small content creator on RU-vid, I know how hard it is to gain traction and attention from the beginning. Like many of you guys, I was tired of creating quality content almost every day and getting only a few hundred views on my best days. Sorry maybe is a dumb question, but i don't get it, if you are let's say telling a story, in my case i have an educationla channel, if i see the dip as he showed and than i cut out from the video... ho can the new video will be smooth on those particular moments of the clip, as i have taken out a part of it? How do i make it flow naturally then? Will apprecietr any feedback ❤

@@RC29972 Hey no worries that's actually a great question! Kind of complicated answer but I'll try my best. I think you have to use some discretion where to use this tactic or not. If there is a severe dip then cutting out a whole section might be worth it. However, if it interrupts with the storytelling and cutting it would ruin the flow of the video then it is probably not worth it IMO. If you can cut a small part of the dip and not have it effect the flow of the video or that particular section then it is likely worth it. As I've started doing this I've also become more mindful in my editing, meaning crafting content that could be easier to trim later if necessary. Hope that is helpful☺

I have 193 videos and not half that much,do I need to take a course?

I started my channel in 2022 and did it for 6 month and then stopped for almost a year and started back this past September and I have been watching your videos since 2022 and doing my best implementing your advice and it has worked. I have a gaming channel and I have changed the theme of the game 4 times trying to find that I can actually enjoy long term and it took a year and a half to do that. I went from Hunt showdown to Star Wars Battlefront 2 to Battlefield 2048 then No Mans Sky and now Formula 1 sim racing which is my true enjoyment and passion and I am also good at it.

Wish you the best but maybe do some other type of games as well. That can also be in the car racing category but it seems like you dont get traction for your content. First people need to find you until they can enjoy your content. So go a little bit with the hype games just to get some new viewers and followers :)

@@faebetutorials nah, for now Im just sticking to F1 24 since I am also trying to do it compeitively. I do have Asseto Corsa that I want to make videos about soon. By my analytics I have been growing consistently so far and Have gained about 100 subs since this comment. I hope to increase the growth though and definitely need to post more

I do this too! Extra tip - use zoom in and preview to get it just right! BTW, I really love your videos! How do you analyize which part is supposed to be cut in the editor section of youtube after checking retention graph? does retention graph gives you timestamp as well?

After watching this I went to my videos and was going to do this on my videos. When I looked at the retention on one of my videos, I saw that at 8 seconds in almost HALF of the viewers clicked off. It went lower as the vid went on I don't really know what else to do except post more until I'm better.

I have a question. If we are going to cut out our videos to make it even shorter, why don't we just making shorter videos at the first place? Wouldn't that make it even easier to maximize the average view duration as much as possible? 🤷‍♀

@@gracesudofia True but my point is if it cutable and if you think removing that part won't affect the video's context then definitely cut that out and make the video even shorter at the first place. That way we don't have to cut it out afterward and make things harder for ourselves. Not #shorts . 🤷‍♀

pop filters are meant to stop the plosives peaking the mic, the reason why the mic has echo is due to the acoustics in the room. educate yourself

Also an error thar many RU-vidrs make is buying the wrong mic. A GOOD Mic but the wrong one. I do have that mic, AND 8 others. And on my last two purchases I bough the "right mics". Condenser mics like the ones he's using are meant to be used in sound treated rooms, dynamic mics are meant to be used in places where there's all kinds of noise around you that should not reach the mic (like the echo and reverb in a room). If you are not recording vocals for a song or some kind of sfx, do yourself a favor and buy dynamic mics not condenser mics.

I started 2 weeks ago and I put out about 25 videos. I would take a look at the types to see what was working, but this video helped me 100x more on breaking it down. I now know that people wanna see more dynamic poses in my art and advanced perspective tutorials. Your a blessing because I wouldn't have figured that out!
