This has to be the most times Cinema Summary has actually commended someone's decision making rather than critique it

You gotta remember the blind man had an alarm system in the first movie…the three burglars were able to use it to their advantage so that’s probably why he doesn’t have it in the second movie.

Gotta feel for the girl. Discovered that both of her fathers are insane, and even ends up killing one of them.

i like how this sequel turns the antagonist into the protagonist, all while retaining his psychosis and lethality

A $2000 security system would actually hinder him. He’s literally blind so the cameras would be useless, also if the criminals set off the alarm, he’d be at a huge disadvantage because he needs complete silence.

Imagine going for a casual walk and hearing this guy say “this dude is about to have the worst night of his life”

I just have one tiny thing that would make sense; The veteran used mostly revolvers, which is used by loading bullets into the slots individually. But if he used a standard pistol, all he would need to do is take out a magazine and put a fresh one in, making it far easier to reload for a blind man.

1. The alarm system would put the blind man at a disadvantage, even if it was a special type of alarm for blind ppl 2. He IS the alarm system.. I’m willing to bet he prefers his natural danger sense as opposed to technological sensors, bc a war vet who’s as accomplished as him stubbornly believes in their own self defense mechanisms rather than tools, deep inside it’s also a pride thing with them feeling confident in their abilities which i find dope asf

I laughed when he said “It’s CRYSTAL clear they were running a meth lab.”

I don't know, but from the first Don't Breathe, the security system literally handicapped him at the end, so it's safe to assume that he no longer trusted securities system anymore

I actually really love concepts like these with the whole *You play as the final boss from the first game* sort of deal

i love this movie series because the moment you think something couldn't get more horrifying and disturbing, it does.

I realize just how amazing this story is, it's not the cliche victim or the cliche villain. The old man now seems to be the victim though at the same time he is still a villain, and the thugs are overall the villain but still have hints that they're actually kind of the victim. You don't see a lot of stories like that

This movie was a fucking trip. The entire plot was so much more original than I had expected, the acting and writing was fantastic, literally everything. Stephen Lang deserves an award for this series

At first I thought the blind man truly was a monster. But due to the plot twist of the girl's biological parents, I quickly changed my mind.

The reason that he doesn’t have a security system is because of it is triggered while he is in the house he will have now way to defend himself because of the constant alarm sound if he is not able to get to the panel.

Don't Breathe 1 was the reason he doesn't have a security system. They got in even though he had one. Plus it put him at a disadvantage when the alarm was on full blast.

"Don't Breath 2" is a terrific movie, Stephen Lang is such a badass, and the little girl was no slouch either. But there are a couple of things you got really wrong. One: the superglue. There are easily available over-the-counter instant glue types (they're low cost too), - and these things are downright dangerous. Very much so. And it is explicitly stated on the tube itself. It takes about 3 seconds for it to set in after connection, and then it's bye-bye. If you're underestimating the instant glue and working without proper gloves - you're guaranteed to rip of some of the skin from your fingertips. Pouring as much of that stuff over someone's nose and mouth as the movie shows - is a death sentence, unless you cut off the lips themselves, and cut off the nose - another way to die of blood loss, unless an ER surgeon helps. There is no cutting through that kind of glue. No way. Another thing is a dog. Dog is THE best security system there is, and by that i mean a properly trained guard dog, like Malinois or Doberman. Speaking from experience. It is not a perfect system, nor is it a complete one - but standalone - it is better than any computer, because it cannot be hacked. A trained guard dog will not take food from strangers and will not fall for cheap tricks seen in some movies. The only way to stop a dog like that - is to shoot it. And if you're going to be robbed by a team which is prepared well enough to shoot a guard dog that lunges in absolute silence out of nowhere, indoors - as in CQB - then they're gonna rob you anyway. Of course, combining physical protection, electronic and a guard dog (or two) - is best, but as a single element - a properly trained guard dog contributes the most.

Honestly, the little girl being the only survivor is probably the best outcome possible. Maybe her next guardian won’t be a murderous lunatic.

Seeing the navy SEAL trident gave me chills cause my dad was also a SEAL in a Vietnam but died in '09 . He died when I was young so he didn't teach me alot about survival but he did teach me how to defend my self and a series of certain hits to certain areas can kill a person if you don't have a weapon to use. More importantly he was the best father I could ever ask for. I would do anything to be able to hug him again. If your parents are still alive , tell them you love them as much as possible because nobody is guaranteed tomorrow

The blind man is actually really smart for not relying on a security system because he’s teaching her survival skills for if the world goes into a blackout or if people decide to attack when there’s a power outage. So honestly props to him!

I knew the loving parents that lost their daughter was full of crap when I noticed: If they love her so much, why do they keep trying to kill her? And if they knew where she was, any normal person would call the cops, not have a convoluted mission.

I really enjoyed this movies especially the first part. The writer is very talented because he manipulated my feelings throughout the movie. The old man becomes a victim at the beginning of the movie and end up being the villain at the end. Such a brilliant way to keep your audience in suspense.

When you mention home security you put cameras around the house in the image, forgetting that he is blind and won’t be able to see the footage, motion sensors however would be the only thing needed for him, he could have them make a certain tone of beep to alert different places inside and outside of the house therefore always giving him the advantage of knowing where everyone is

If they decided to make the blind man the protagonist by having this monster kill other monsters, I'm fine with it
