Great stuff! MIB is indeed one of the coldest places in the park, but specifically, the walkway into the single rider line is far and away the coldest place and either park! It’s awesome! As for Islands of Adventure, The Cat In the Hat is wonderfully cold.

Turn down AC in room and take a 2 hour midday nap, spend 1 hour at the pool and then go close it down!! If you don't stay on property here is the #1 reason!!

GREAT tips! The only other times we were in Orlando, visiting Disney World, it was spring time. We are leaving in less than three weeks for our foodie road trip and Universal vacation. We do plan on trying every single Butter Beer, but won't drink too much of the hot one haha. I am so glad you gave us the tip for the slurpee / icies for the cups! Very helpful! I know what you mean about the heat. I'm 58 and disabled I can walk but get tired quicker then most people. Going into a place that's air con feels so good. Love your videos.

Great tips-we usually go full steam ahead, but do enjoy hitting up rides with the AC blasting. With school age children, we usually visit toward the end of August when Florida schools reopen (NY schools open in September). So, crowds are a little better but the heat is still killer. I will definitely take Tyler's suggestion into account-just not sure if I can pull the deep "V" as well as he does (fingers crossed I don't get banned) lol.

Yes I'm going through your past videos. My number one thing to beat the heat is EPA. Get there early knock out a bunch of rides quick then you have the rest of the day to go at your own pace.

Tube stations in London (like King’s cross) actually have the same AC situation, so I think it’s meant to emulate that! They are always super cold in the entrance to combat the heat down the escalators.

Hey Jathy! We love Rick and Nikki! It depends on which cup you purchase. The one we got this last trip, which is the one you can purchase almost everywhere, was 16.99. However most of the time we purchase the "tumblr" style freestyle cup and those are between 24.99-26.99. Those prices do include refills for that day. You can get complimentary water at most locations where you can purchase something to drink!

You're too sweet! You'll be able to fill up your cup with water at all of the freestyle machines, and the team members at the food tents with fountain machines will fill it up for you as well! There should be plenty of places to get water!

I went on hagrids with my mom who is in a wheelchair they were super nice about it!! The line was long but it moved fast. The ride was scary especially at the turns but it was fun!!

We like to take a pool break midday. Easy to do when staying at the Hard Rock! We also like to get ice cream from Florean's (salted caramel blondie, mmmm) and sit down to watch Celestina Warbeck. Eating inside a restaurant for lunch also is great for cooling down.

Okay hear me out. Coldest place in IOA is the bathrooms in Lost Continent behind Doc Surgrue’s. Best bathrooms in Orlando. Ironically the worst smelling area of Orlando is near there too at the Freestyle machine in front of it. I’m convinced that they push the sewage from those bathrooms through the freestyle machines there.

Good call on avoiding Shrek 4D. Two requests: 1. a vocab. word in every video. (Plethora!) English teachers will appreciate this. Check out the Princeton Review's Word Smart--any edition. 2. I'd be bummed to see you two doing just Orlando theme park videos for years. (Sometimes I feel sorry for the hosts of DFB & All Ears videos.) How about Yosemite, NYC, Boston, L.A., London, Paris, Kyoto, & Yosemite, etc.? Emulate Anthony Bourdain more than Guy Fieri. And re theme parks: I request Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Puy de Fou in Les Epesses in France (I read it's a cross between a Renaissance Faire & a theme park), Dollywood, Efteling, Cedar Point, and Europa Park.

It’s definitely cooler in the mornings! Lots of people have the misting fans and they sell them in the parks, we’ve just never messed with them. We’ve heard a lot of people say the cooling towels work really well, too!

We have yet to see the Horror and Makeup show. Our first trip in 2017, we had 5 1/2 days and had never been before. Huge HP fans, so that was our priority. This May, we did a quick trip and only 3 days and a few hours. We tried to concentrate on trying new things, but still missed so much! We have a week planned in September for our first HHN, so maybe we can finally get to see this one.

Usually, we go a week every year or two, but September was rescheduled from last year and we couldn’t wait that long, so we went in May. Then, hello, OI scheduled meetup in December and we missed last year’s, so there is number 3. We may only get to go once next year, but O am learning lots of ways to save money thanks to you, OI and RixFlix! I can definitely go more than every two years from now on! So, thanks for sharing.!

i'm easy to pick out in the crowd. long sleeve light color vented fishing shirt, thin khaki slacks, sand camo bucket hat. drink lotsa water. very fair skin, reddish (well usta be) hair, can't handle florida sun beating down on me. keeping the sun off me prolly keeps me cooler.

I (Anna) am the same way! Tank tops seem like they’d be cooler in the heat, but I know I’ll get roasted if I wear them. Hats are the best way to keep the sun off your face. I didn’t wear one ONE day on our latest trip and my face is still peeling!

I don’t know if I have the worst luck ever but that coke freestyle cup was a disaster for me in universal studios. It was 3 strikes for me. 1 was closed down, another had a super long line and then the 3rd strike was in front of MIB where nothing was coming out and everyone was getting frustrated. At that point we were dying of thirst and just bought waters lol.

Oh no! When the parks are super busy, it can be a little bit harder to get them filled. We have a few “favorite” spots that are usually easier than others. The coke store might be the best, thought, because it’s indoors! Also, if you take your cup up to one of the food locations, they’ll fill it for you instead of paying for water!

Universal now uses daily ticket prices, so purchasing them in advance might save you some money. If you already know your dates, we say go ahead! As for proposing, get the photo pass and propose in front of one of the photo spots. We’d recommend letting the photographer in on it, but you’ll be guaranteed to get awesome photos!

I haven't been to Universal Orlando since the Wizarding world first opened like 10 years ago, but I'm headed there in a couple of weeks. Universal Hollywood has large misting fans throughout the park. Why doesn't Orlando?

“Misted” hahahah There was a time last year that my brother and I wanted to get wet, so we went to Bluto’s……..well…….. I walked off with like a patch of 2 square inches wet, not I walked off with only that part wet, but 99% of me was DRY! I was ticked. Hahaha So we walked over to Ripsaw Falls and I got DRENCHED! I felt a lot better then. Haha

@@ThePughTwo I normally do too. That was the ONLY time I didn’t. We did only have us two on it and MAYBE one other person. They had just opened a few weeks before we went. I did get drenched the 2 times we went on it this year.

What if my mom boyfriend buys me an annual pass for my birthday and they live out of state? Can I still pick it up with them not there?

When you purchase an annual pass, you have to include info like name, address, etc. they’ll have to put your info in for the annual pass. Then you should be able to pick it up yourself.

July tends to be a busier time, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a great trip! It’ll definitely be hot in July, so make sure you’re prepared!

Jimmy Fallon is another good cold area normally ! The last time we were there we think the AC might have been acting up cause it was not nearly as cool as it normally is which is why we didnt list it!
