The most unrealistic part of this entire thing is how in shape all these gamers are.

Could you imagine some speedrunners being tossed in there? 2 rooms in they backwards long jump through to the basement and win instantly.

The most unrealistic thing in this whole movie was Shelly leaving the $100k behind.. It is such a pet peeve of mine in movies when the main character leaves the money...bruh

any pro gamer would know that if the room before is giving you that many items, you know what comes next. Its almost obligatory to save the last big gun for something huge at the end. I call BS on them being pro gamers. That was just gaming 101 right there. The only one who has an excuse was the girl who went there for her friend.

im very surprised noone had went inside the virtual objects and shot at the enemies from out of bounds, being completely safe in the process.

I wonder how adaptive the game was to the player's actions. I'm imagining that once the interrogation event was failed and the countdown started, the game let them skip a few floors because it knew they couldn't realistically reach the ground floor in time. The elevator was more or less a handicap given to them.

One tactic not mentioned was to draw the game out as long as possible to drain the suits battery

1. Make friends with all players being a peace keeper. 2. Assign the most responsible and trustworthy person to hold on to all of the healing syringes and only use them if someone is too injured to move on/dying. 3. Always stick together in close formation to ensure nobody is left behind. 4.Assign tasks according to everyone’s skills. For best results, disregard the above and replace number one with: If it seems sketchy don’t go in the first place!

As a Fortnite player, I can confirm that shooting my rocket launcher at the van is my first course of action. (It is not uncommon for people to hide lategame in cars and the easiest way to deal with cars is blowing them up :/)

Hold on can somebody explain to me why Carl died? I mean yeah he got shot and he used the group's last serum to save Shelly, but the thing is, that was the serum that the nervous girl got from the other room, and if I didn't skip over anything, then Carl still had *his* serum left, since the only 2 time he got shot, the veteran used his serum on him, and then the tough guy used it on him

This movie is absolutely brilliant! The one thing this movie actually teaches, is that you can be the best FPS gamer, while being safe at home eating your toasties, but soon as you are actually physically in those situations with no safeguards, the mind can freeze up and go into self defense mode as reality hits hard. The movie also let it wide open for a sequel to be played on a bigger scale, to which I have excellent ideas for. The Call Up is just a big as Upgrade and Kill Command.

Most people would find it suspicious and just ignore it thinking it's just mail or spam. These aren't top gamers (maybe top 100 at best) or else they would already know each other already. Unless they play different fps. Break the glass and cut the suits off and stay naked. If you cannot get the helmets off, then at least you can hide the suits so only head shots can work against you. But other then that, these ppl act unrealistic. You know you're in a game that'll kill you but they're playing around like a regular game. It's a game, and the #1 thing is complete the missions and the game ends. Speed run it, AI isn't advance enough to keep up with all you're movements as it shows that not 1 person got head shot and was fired at repeatedly and missed a lot. Cool concept but in reality it hardly anyone will play it. Without death, you really think the average person (let alone gamer) has the stamina to run for an hour and fighting the whole time? You'll play one mission and quit (if you're not tired halfway in). That's why the Omnirift failed, they had VR, running platform, guns you hold, and the works but ppl was worn out after one mission.
