Thanks for this. I’m currently in the second round interview stage of becoming a store manager for a new bridal store opening. I’m so excited and really hope it works out 🎉

hi!! going off this video, you mentioned not necessarily having experience in a bridal salon, but experience in fashion. what are some ways i could get experience in fashion? would you be looking for like classes/ schooling in fashion, experience maybe at a prom dress store? what type of fashion experience should i have before applying for a job at a bridal salon? and than going along with that, let’s say i just want to take my first step ever within fashion (more specifically bridal fashion) could it be possible to just start off as maybe a receptionist or like an assistant or something like that?

Hi Kaylee! We typically love finding someone who has worked in retail or in the service industry. It could be Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Macys, TJ Maxx, jewelry stores, spas, hotels etc. We are looking for individuals that are good with serving people and used to a demanding environment. The one thing I forgot to mention in the video is working weekends. Working retail hours are slightly different from a typical work week in other professions. Lovella is open 7 days a week so working Saturday/Sunday is important for the work we do. We have hired individuals who have never worked retail so I wouldn't let that discourage you from trying to apply at a local bridal store. Every bridal store is looking for different things. I would do your research on which stores you'd be interested in working at and find out what they look for in hiring for positions. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. 💖

Hi. Can you give an idea how much is the average annual salary and how do you earn money during seasons that aren't popular for weddings

This varies on type of store, per state, and per region in general. Lots of variables.

@@WeddingFashionExpert in my previous jobs I've earned 50-60k, is it possible to earn that much or more in wedding apparel? I don't want to join and bring minimum wage during off peak seasons 😫

It’s really no off season if you include Fall/ Homecoming dresses , Summer / wedding season / Spring / Prom season ❤
