Such market uncertainties are the reason I don’t base my market judgements and decisions on rumours and here-says, got the best of me 2020 and had me holding worthless position in the market, I had to revamp my entire portfolio through the aid of an advisor, before I started seeing any significant results happens in my portfolio, been using the same advisor and I’ve scaled up 750k within 2 years, whether a bullish or down market, both makes for good profit, it all depends on where you’re looking.

I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

You're not doing anything wrong, you just don't have the required skillset to profit off a down market, folks that are making profit in this market are pros and experts with in-depth knowledge and skillset.

Mark Williams taught me how to utilize the volatility of crypto world, I make gain from trading despite the price chart. He has since provide entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. I basically follow his trading pattern and haven't regretted doing so.

lol...NONSENSE!! Crypto was invented to invest in DeFi mostly, and when you do there are zero taxable events. In fact the platform you trade in such as Uniswap for ex doesn't have your name, there are no kyc or links to you. You should use Centralized exchanges to bring funds from your banks only, of course when you withdraw you pay your tax. But your day to day transaction technically in crypto is designed/meant to be on a Decentralized platform.

It's funny how a few months ago people were wishing they could get into crypto at a cheaper price. Now that their wish has been granted, it's funny how they have cold feet smh. I wish more people would have truly followed "Only invest what you're willing to lose".
The thing with DOGE is it was just another super low CMC ranked coin, before Elon decided to out of nowhere mention it on Twitter. There's no way to know what coin this could happen to in the future, because it was a total black swan event. There are currently ~20,000 coins on CMC. Good luck picking the next DOGE coin.

I started in Spring of 2021 taking a portion of each paycheck. I have been in the green for all of five minutes. The total value I’ve my portfolio is about 1/3 less than my combined purchases. But I’m sticking with it, especially ADA

Your definition of dollar cost averaging is missing some keys points. It is correct but could be improved on when to DCA. For example - If a coin in bullish, are you buying. I know I'm not.

Great advice to DCA and loved your mindset recommendations. I would be curious to see what the numbers would look like if you used the bull market before the last bear market instead of the bull market after the bear? And it may be a little more fair to compare BTC, ETH & DOGE price at the end of the bear market instead of the current price, that has had the advantage of a price run up from the current bull cycle. Also, what exchange should I use to buy $10/week of ETH and not get killed with fees?

In terms of DCA, can you give a few coins besides BTC and ETH you are looking to accumulate? BTC and ETH worked a few years ago and will definitely keep rising in value. However, due to their large market cap, they won't perform as strongly as they did during the past Bear market. Can you share with us some coins? Like SOL, AVAX, FTM, ONE, Near, etc? @@Simoneirie Exactly. Dollar Cost Averaging is essentially investing the same amount at the same time over an extended period of time. Maybe it`s $100/Month or $50/week or much more or less. Whatever is comfortable to you;)

Great content. I think its bear market since January, and also was the moment when I decided to invest in crypto. The average of a bear market is around 280 days, and personally I hope for this bear market to give me the time I need to achieve to the portfolio that i try to create for myself. Gee Casey, can you tell us how many real bear markets you've traded in? I means stock falling more than 50%. Trading in real bear markets is really hard, the volatility is crazy. Most professionals go into cash, and just get out of the way, and wait for the dust to settle. Crypto wasn't even around in the last real bear market back in 2007. No one know how it will play out when the next one comes. You are just guessing and trying to make yourself an expert in a market environment that you've never traded in. As Mike Tyson said, "Everyone has got a plan until they get punched in the face." The reality is that all these know it all millennials, who are a dime a dozen on RU-vid, have only starting trading in the market in the last few years, and they all think they are big experts in the market. Trying to predict what will happen in the markets is a total mugs game, the only thing you can predict with the markets is you have no idea how they are going to play out, as there are just too many moving forces at play. There are a lot of people who have been in the markets for decades and are much more intelligent and have a greater understanding than you and they still get it very wrong. The most important thing to do is to protect your capital and get really good risk management tools in place.

what about enhancing DCA: Don't buy BTC for $100 every Monday, but place an additional $100 order for BTC every Monday, each with a limit e.g. 10% below the current Monday rate and leave it until it goes through.
