Do you get paid during this 13 to 14 year period if becoming a neurosurgeon as you cant really rely on your parents money for this long?and do you get family time as a neurosurgeon??

Yes we get paid from house job. Also we get paid during residency. Somedays we get some time off but most of the days it is tough routine.
