Hey Shatter, I finally got my flying machine to be semi-straight, it’s not perfect but it only veers ever so slightly to the right and after so many absolute failed attempts I just called it a day and saved it. Should I work on it again to make it more straight? And also, any tips? When gluing the first fan, should the glue be on the top, bottom, or middle? Same with the second. This also made me realize it is near impossible to get something perfectly straight on a steering stick
This guy deserves way more subs for the amount of work he spends adding timestamps, detailed explanations, and clips in each and every one of his videos. Keep the hard work up!
Agreed. Some creators take too long to make their points or drone on about nonsense or are unlistenable. Shatter is very much to the point and concise while still managing to be very informative. I’m a new sub because of this video and looking forward to his future content.
No way he did all this within the 2 weeks the game officially released. He most definitely downloaded the leaked file that came out on May 1st and has been practicing since. Therefore, no he doesn't really deserve more subs for the detailed explanations because he most likely learned everything by cheating using an illegal copy.
@@dhrgkbqxtjr2743 bro stfu you are literally defending nintendo. you are self cucking yourself for a multi billion dollar conglomerate that doesn’t care for you at all. so what if he pirated the game? i did because im not giving any more money to nintendo. and pirating a game means that the advice given and the time put into this video means nothing all of a sudden? makes zero sense buddy, it just sounds like youre a nintendo stan who is mad that he paid 70 dollars for the game to play it on an outdated console at 20fps 720p when you didn’t have to. cope harder
@@dhrgkbqxtjr2743 You gonna get Nintendo's Dong out your mouth? Who fucking cares, this is still a very good video, how he obtained his knowledge and skills is irrelevant
The Frox is very easy to defeat. 1. Shoot it with a dazzle fruit arrow. It will stun it (you don't even need to hit the eye) 2. Climb on its back and attack the ore things 3. When you see its back shake, it will fling you into the air. Activate your glider and it will face up to try and swallow you. Shoot it again with a dazzle fruit arrow and repeat process Usually it takes me 2 or 3 dazzle fruit to kill him, and the Frox is basically stun-locked throughout. It is very easy to kill him though.
For the sky mines puzzle, you can use Ascend from the pillars to escape the sphere while it's moving, no need to do tricky platforming before placing the cube on the switch
That's what I did. I theorize...if you know "where" the opening is going to cross floors you can ultrahand hover the block over the switch (not on, don't let go), move it to the side and set it down. Then move yourself over to that position on the side and recall the block back over the switch, cancel to activate. You'd have to know where it's crossing. Easiest to ascend and glide back down.
Thanks for the informative video! Also, it's amazing seeing how many puzzles I accidentally skipped by flying in from above instead of climbing up from below. I've mostly been trying not to cheese anything in this game, because the puzzles are genuinely enjoyable, but there have been a ton that I skipped because I didn't even realize they were there. I love the freedom and abilities the game provides, but that also means it's often harder to notice that a puzzle exists than it is to just go straight to the goal.
Thank you for making these videos. Besides the clear, helpful content and organization, I also appreciate that unlike many gamer channels, your vocal style and delivery does NOT remind me of a coked up morning zoo radio DJ from the 90s.
Thank you for being so thorough! The worst thing about looking something up about this game is you end up having to look up ten other things to complete the picture.
Easier way to get out of the orb mentioned in the sky mines puzzle 17:45, just jump on one of the three pillars and use Ascend. You can also skip the entire trip to the North Tabantha Sky Archipelago 23:00 if you have the Zora armor already. Instead, go to Strock Lake and swim up the waterfall West of the island. Launch the wing and go to the center island as normal, but go to the Eastern island with the Flux Construct instead and use the pre-built device there to ascend to Lightcast Island.
Very very good video. The best TOTK vid I've seen, very informattive, especially the bit about the coliseum. And so respectable that none of your guides are just telling us to use a dupe...
So I am not one who normally tips video guides(or any YT videos) but yours are so well done and helpful that I feel almost obligated to reward the effort. Thanks for the help!
This is probably the best guide for a Zonite progression without exploits. I would like to add for those who don’t want to grind, that the moment you find a large zonite, you can duplicate 5 at a time every few seconds with a few methods and get the 720 large zonite necessary for 16 batteries almost instantly. I did this and it doesn’t feel game breaking in the slightest, at least not like how duplicating Diamond does.
I agree, I dont /mind/ fighting Minibosses for Charges and Mining but you need sooo much. Next playthrough I am going to do the Lynel Arena so i can chop my way up to the top and farm all the batteries.
"You can also buy big batteries, which are exceedingly rare." Me, with 999 big batteries that I duped: "What did it cost?" "The gameplay the way Nintendo intended it."
I've been playing TOTK for over a month now, and I haven't completed 10% of it! It's a massive massive world! Some of the puzzles are quite challenging and OMG they can be solved in so many different ways!
This was very helpful. Thank you. Also. Things that I learned and heard about while navigating the Depths. Surfave-level rivers and lakes form underground walls that you cannot cross. You must go around. And shrines on the surface correspond with light sources in the depths. Use this to navigate the depths effectively.
It should also be known that when on a lynel's back, a fused gloom weapon will not inflict gloom on hit, so if you don't have royal guard weapons, fused gloom weapons are very good for killing lynels.
In one of your videos I recall you claiming that the fan bike does not despawn. I am not sure the exact circumstance that caused my autobuilt bike to despawn, but I have a theory that it was time based as it despawned after about 3 hours of use with stops which gives a 9999 second timer plausibility. Not sure how many people know about this or tested it but, with some testing, it might make a cool tidbit for your videos. Thanks for the bike design, it has served me greatly!
@@ItsShatter it happened to me too. i used the horizontal variation of the bike to farm all the lightroots and after a while, randomly it just poofed in mid-flight. no green blinking to warn me, just poof.
You sir are amazing. I didn't even want to watch the video but it is well crafted and detailed that I found myself asking, where is the next guide. You helped me so much to progress in the game. I can now enjoy it so much more. Thank you very much for making the best ever game even better! ❤
for the zonaite forge puzzle, if you are having trouble or worries of battery percentage and have the zora armor, then I suggest you take the sahasra slope skyview tower to the north necluda sky archipelago, then glide to the waterfall and swim up it. from there just defeat the enemy and use the 2 rockets, 1 going up and one going towards the island, and you should be able to just glide to the terminal with ease
btw, to farm the constuct pieces, the sky island you start the game at is a great place to farm pieces since theirs tier 1-4 zonai constructs that spawn there, and they are relatively weak even at 4th tier besides like 1 pack of 3 that i ran into that had might construct bows of 24 dmg (with some having dmg up modifiers of up to +5) Edit: another tip is just make a hoverbike (2 fan 1 controller) to navigate and farm effecientally while there to speed the process up alot and make it easy to spot them from the sky since they have have red lights they emit from their face, so easy to spot from the sky.
On the large flying machine, you can weaponize it by strapping cannons onto the back of the fans (that little circular part on one side) facing down and boom. Carpet bomber. You just need to come in at an angle and lift off VERY quickly before the cannons fire.
The little U block from the right leg depot will make lynels just roar over and over again. Just attach two of them and save it as an auto build. They cannot use the roar to destroy that particular zonal construct. And just wail on them. You can’t stun them and use the mounting to save on durability though. But they’ll never attack. This makes getting majoras mask ridiculously easy
Pro tip of Frox farming. When they succ, throw bomb in mouth (duh). They take extra damage from hammer type weapons, just as Talliuses does. And when they knock you up in the air, use your paraglider to stay in the air until they turn around and open their mouths to eat you, then pull out your bow and fuse a bomb arrow and shoot it in their mouth so they will get knocked down to finish off the last crystals. My usual strat is staying not too far away so they wont jump on me, then try to shoot their eye, if they try to succ, wich is their only other attack then can do exept jumping when you stay infront of them, i throw a bomb in them, then i bash their rocks until they trow me up, then i stay in the air to shoot a bomb arrow in their mouth to take out the last few rocks, if i fail on that, i repeat the glider part until all the rocks are gone. Following this ive been able to stun lock the tier 3 Floxes during my 100% clean up.
For the shin guards, and ur stuck after triggering the rotation, just climb up on one of the pillars inside the globe, use ascend, then climb to the whole to get the chest. I think this is an easier approach
For anyone who needs more captain construct horns, there‘s a captain construct in the fusing tutorial shrine, plus two on an icy platform really close by to the ascension(?) tutorial shrine (whichever one is in the snowy part of the great sky island, I’m pretty sure it’s ascension)
There’s also 2 horns in the Yansamin shrine, the shrine on the Zonaite forge island (the one with the laser wind tunnel dive) One is from a cpt 1 enemy and another enemy in that shrine is holding a weapon with the horn fused. Take the weapon to Tarrey town and have the dude pull apart the weapon and fused item.
A cannon mounted to a weapon can act as a bomb thrown into a Frox’s mouth. Same for if you can get some sort of aerial auto turret firing bombs at it. I’m still working on this one. Main problem right now is getting it to the right height to avoid being eaten(yes, the Frod will vacuum and eat your builds) while not being too far from Link to stay powered(rocket tends to send it too high
One easy way to deal with the Frox is stun them, hop onto its back, wail on them, wait until they launch you into the sky and shoot an arrow at them with either a bomb or time bomb. You'll land safely again on its back. Rinse and repeat.
For aligning the 2fan1control bike (I call it a bike), I found that using R and using the axis lines very valuable for lining up my spokes. For the first Zonaite armor, you can also use the launcher platform to launch the blocks across the sky and in to the hole of the orb. I expect that was the "intended" way of doing it. Mine landed on the switch after a few attempts, and I just had to float over to the already lowered hole. It's a little less brave than standing on the edge while using Recall, but I never claimed to be brave.
You do not need to change the bike build to carry the crystal. Just attach the crystal parallel underneath the center of the bike, and it will fly just fine.
I think one of the devs of BotW said something to the effect of "If you did it, you did it correctly." Indicating that there's no wrong or right way to complete a puzzle/shrine. The intended way is whatever way makes it work.
@@NFITC1 i know that. what im pointing out is that the statement "you're trapped" is false. as well as describing a much simpler way to get out of the orb, which someone who is looking for a solution on youtube might appreciate.
me being a goofy lad and getting to the zoanite forge island just for the beam emiters as i wanted a beam emiter spear after 3 hrs of trying then to realize that there is only a shrine the emiters and some zoanite weapons and just skipped the armor so i felt relieved and anger when you said to go there to get the armor that i missed
another way to deal with frox's is to rush behind a tree and just stay on the opposite side of it, even if it jumps if your about like 5 ft from the tree you wont take dmg from the leaps impact, and you can just wait until it finishs inhaling and then shoot it in the eye and do your business on its back as usual lol
Zonai Waistguard: Can get there flying from the eastern side of the starter islands using a 2 fan hoverbike, + 1 or 2 large Zonai Charges (I had 5 battery upgrades + shin guards at the time and used 1 large Zonai Charge. Without the shin guards + upgrades I'd have needed a second). No gliding needed.
Really I've found most any island can be gotten too fairly easily with the hoverbike and enough energy/charges. No need to worry about it blinking out. If you want to get height, it can do it with charges/energy. Or you can design a 2 balloon carrier to gain height and launch from there. (2 balloons at opposite corners of a small square platform, gives enough space. Zonai fire devices + torches on both balloons)
Never EVER pay for charges. The amount of large zoanite you’ll need to upgrade your equipment is just too large to waste on charges. The best way to get charges is from the abandoned mines. Every schematic you get will have a little trial to use with the schematic. All the mines have a treasure chest as well, sometimes it’s an equipment but just as often it’s a large charge. Just explore the depths and get all the large charges from the Yiga camps and the mines. Then fight the boss refights for 12x 100 charges as well as master kohga for 4X100
For the Frox, I found hitting their eye to be much too demanding when they're attacking you. Instead, put a bomb flower on your arrow and shoot it into their mouth. It'll do the same job, and is much more reliable.
You are literally a Zonai God once you step off of the Great Sky Island. I mean, you have Rauru's hand and most of his abilities. Yeah, I get that this video is about all the weapons/shields/armor/battery upgrades...
i don't have a playlist per se. What I can tell you is that it is mostly Jon Bjork, Gavin Luke, and Christoffer Moe Ditlevsen that I pull tracks from to use. If there are any specific tracks you want the name of, just give me a timestamp and I'll do my best to respond! The one during the flying vehicle section is Early Hours by Colors of Illusion. Hope this helps!
God it is crazy how much stuff people have already gathered. I've been playing in all my downtime between going to work and I'm nowhere near this arsenal of items lol
I get two "will of the wise" (translate into english, dont know if this is the right name for the item) . I came from the down, cause I screwed it up early in the game. So, I cant get it with my run anymore?
God I’ve been trying to build that simple flying machine for hours but no matter how many times I do it, it refuses to fly straight! Am I doing something wrong or am I just stupid??
Hey I gotta question.. you mentioned that your world is filled with harder enemies now, is that just a result of progressing? (sorry i didnt watch the full video yet)
Progressing in the main quest and unlocking all sky view towers makes the enemies gradually harder, yes. After I beat the Wind Temple I found a blue Lynel where there previously had been a red one, for example.
They are similar to the Silver tier monsters in that they will start spawning all over the place once you've defeated enough enemies throughout the world.
has anyone had trouble finding the captain construct II ? i can't seem to find them no where, i already did the shrines counting them in the past and now i don't know what to do
I think I show a few shrine locations where captain 1 constructs spawn, check those locations, you should find them. It's a pain in the butt to go to those spots over the course of a few blood moons but you will eventually get all the horns you need, that's what I did. Hope this helps!
