Why the high net worth and $ 200,000 for accreditation? How is this helping the lower and middle class? Or are these opportunities not meant for the lower and middle class?
Reading all these comments and want to help clarify something that many simply don't know.. I only know this because I 'invest' a lot of time into my financial education. LINQTO isn't responsible for accredited investor qualifications. The SEC is 'the boss' on this topic. I've watched some inside videos from LINQTO and they are all about lowering and/or getting rid of this entirely but, it's not up to them. Perhaps ask ourselves HOW could I be an accredited investor? Who do I know that would qualify and would want to get involved? What types of investments could I get involved in, be patient with, and BECOME an accredited investor myself? These questions help the brain to solve problems differently. Blessings to us all :)

The reason the threshold is high is very very simple. People who have no money have no money for a reason, and despite there being inequalities of opportunity, the main reason most people have not enough money is because they can't handle money. If you let normal earning people in to this, and they lose their savings because they don't know what they're doing, there are a ton of potential lawsuits at hand. Because people simply can't take responsibility very well.
The reason they don’t let poor people invest is because if you put your life savings into something and it goes wrong, too many people become too depressed and try self-deletion. If you make enough that you can “afford” to lose it, you are much less likely to go postal.
Dear Linqto, this video makes absolutely no sense and is a big waste of time! Your policy only serves the already wealthy investors with zero regard for entry-level investors. It shuts the doors of opportunity in our faces. Our money is just as good as your wealthy investors! Please give us a chance and fix this! We deserve to invest in great opportunities without being shut out!
