Those picks are looking so nice right now huh Antonio incredible interview man. I'm a Philadelphia 76ers fan for 34 years of my life and I trusted the process and bought in despite knowing in my gut they were making the wrong picks like drafting Okafor over Booker and trading Bridges to the Suns while they were happening in that moment and draft, not looking back in hindsight, I know this sounds silly but I've played sports games as well as real sports, I played high-school basketball in Philadelphia in the catholic league at a basketball powerhouse high-school which was an extremely competitive high level league. Now I didn't play much but my junior year we were ranked nationally and I seen pros like Dwight Howard, Josh Smith, Rajon Rondo, LeBron James was at the Palestra where Penn played for a tournament my school was in. A current former NBA Champion, All Star and Olympic Gold Medalist played for us, Who for some reason the sixers didn't trade for smh but needless to say some very high level guys I've seen and played against myself, My playing career highlight is once scoring on 2current NBAers the Morris twins haha Since I was a kid and I would play franchise mode and even load the nameless college players into NBA Live from NCAA Live and also in Madden or draft generated names once you get to the 2nd year and beyond in franchise mode, I once was 25 years invested into an NBA Live franchise and I would excell during the draft and free agency and at developing guys to get their attributes up. I've had a for the most part a spot on gut intstict to spot talent and spot superstars I love how he said you have to know if a guy can handle chest pass or bounce pass my mind has a way of analyzing this stuff systematically in my head for instance I knew Nerlens Noel was raw offensively and athleticly above average and had potential but I knew at Kentucky that he was terrible hand eye coordination and ball handling skills and little finnese. He was more of a power Athlete vs an Explosive Finnese athlete if you catch my drift, does he jump high off 2 feet like Aaron Gordon or Can He Run and Jump High off 1foot and Glide like Zach Lavine because 1 foot in my eyes means more fluid in fast past transistion offense and 2 feet is catching Lobs like Dwight Howard, that was strictly a comparison on jumping ability and athletism not on them as players or any other skills, so I knew the lack of hand eye coordination for Noel would translate into turnovers and dropped passes and limite him offensively and that he was more of a power athlete and had a ceiling, meanwhile Giannis is sitting there as well as Gobert, and that it was not a good pick but the Sixers went through with it any way, My brain breaks these things down fast. I can spot those can't miss guys very easily and I watch teams draft and wonder how they got their job. The Bridges move had me furious a 2x National ChMp for Nova a big east school a versatile wing who does everything above average can guard a big or a small whos mother worked for the Sixers not to mention and we trade him for Zaire Smith. SMH LOL who we eventually trade for an injury prone George Hill 8 years to late 🤔, Its not just basketball either. Football comes very easy to me as well but this will probably never be seen by you but Antonio Great job scouting for the Suns I feel like you 100 percent get it well at least for type of team we both feel it would take to win a chip a fast past smoothe transition run and gun 🔫 with fiesty pressure defense to force turnovers to create this fast paced caos which means athletes who can get out and run with a killer mindset that want the challenge of guarding the other teams best player and want to be the one shooting the foul shots at the end not a 610 point guard who is overpaid and scared to death to shoot and passes up a dunk lol I want to become a scout so bad what do I need to do??? Where does an Average Joe without the connections Antonio had get these addresses and names to even mail the potential reports to??? Somebody without a background at the red sox?Great Interview and great job Antonio I wish the Sixers would have hired you my guy

What’s the difference between a scout and an agent
@CourtsideWSava
@CourtsideWSava 2 года назад
Scouts look for the players on behalf of a team. Agents look for teams/endorsements on behalf of a player. Hope it answered your question
