I would like to add one thing for external confidence. Improve your style for YOURSELF despite not receiving the respect that u anticipated. Groom and exercise for YOURSELF because you want to feel good and look good. Plus, you deserve to be taken care of. I think, in this way, we could also improve our confidence through improving our mental health.
really needed this - was a good reminder after struggling with my self-worth a lot lately. i definitely noticed i was a lot more confident when i was in school (i've been on summer holiday the past couple months) because i knew what i was doing and knew i was good at it. thanks for the video :) and for all the helpful pointers haha! sending love, always appreciate your content
The choice of people you hang out with, like your friends, is really important in boosting your confidence. I used to have friends who believed in the idea of "constructive criticism." They would find fault in me for every single thing and wouldn't pay any attention to anything I said. They had a thing called the friendship hierarchy system, where I was placed at the bottom. From being a confident kid to having zero level of confidence in my high school days I was miserable. I couldn't even talk to my classmates. I would rehearse the words in my mind before speaking out. So as soon as I figured out the problem, I made some new friends where the friendship hierarchy was negligible. People who knew the actual meaning of constructive criticism-people who actually believed in pushing you forward. People who actually listened to you When people listen to your words, you slowly build up your confidence, and this has boosted my confidence tremendously in the long run. Now I can talk to anyone, even strangers, without a second thought.
Going through a time where things seem dark, you made me want to give a try to do better for myself. My life has come to the point where I don't care about myself nor have any kind of self love let alone confidence, thank you for the video, I do hope more are on the way Tim.
I’m in love with the last moments of the video where you guys just have fun behind the scenes. It’s the whole point of creating things, to have fun with it. I’ve had much fun making fashion contents but hopefully I’ll get to a point where I have people sharing the same fun with me 💪🏻❤️
Thank you Tim for this video! Such wisdom and clarity! Im going to share this with my soon to be 12 yr old son(minus the bloopers at the end, lol). I was a single mother most of his early life and I look for guys like you and a few other favorites on youtube to share with my son, from a man's perspective, on how to be a better person internally and externally!
Thank you! And happy early birthday to your son. As an only child raised by a single mother myself, I have a lot of appreciation for the work I know you've put in to raise that boy 🙌
@@TimDessaint No problem! Thank you! 🙏🏾 I will tell him you said happy birthday! Im sure your mom is really proud of you and the example you set for others! You're an awesome leader, keep makin mama proud as I'm sure she is!
I'm beginning to internalise the idea of enjoying discomfort and discipline. I'm hearing it EVERYWHERE.It's the only way I'll make it on the things I want to do. Since 2020 my discipline went down the drain, but it's coming back!
my confidence and my creativity has plummeted after getting rejected from a short story competition, and what you said about having a growth mindset reminded me of who i am as a writer as well as my value as a person. thanks man
I think i can speak for all when i say, i really appreciate these types of videos. The fashion content is always gonna be great. And having a video like this from time to time goes a long way and im sure will help a ton of people. Much love Tim. Edit the bloopers😂😂
I recently had a rough spell and lacked a feeling of self worth so the timing on this is extremely welcome. This type of information is always great to hear and be reminded of, even if I’ve heard it in other forms before. I appreciate your personal perspective on confidence. Thank you for the vid!
I've been trying to change my style and I've been working out for 7 months now but I think I really needed to hear these things from you. Thank you so much for this.
the bloopers at the end had me dying 😂.. but these are such amazin' tips to boost ones confidence, will definitely watch this to remind myself of these valuable tips, thanks Tim!
I've been going back on my word about going to the gym for month now, I live alone, I don't eat enough to be healthy and I'm having issues not being lazy.
This must be one of your best videos to date. The vibe was so calm and soothing. In simpler terms; i love it. confidence is ONLY achieved through sticking to your words and action remaining true to yourself. A positive space is alpha omega. Treat yourself how you would like to be treated by anyone. Respect, compassion, open minded and a good listener. Growth only happens if you are willing to take risks, no matter how great or small. And sometimes; Less is more. Make more videos like this, Tim. Confidence mirrors everything and everyone. Actions, word & sound.
Dear Tim, I watch your Videos for a quiet time already. I musst say, I am really inspired by your mindset and the things your say to help everybody in your community to get better and be better. You inspire me and so many others and I just wanted to tell you thank you !! Your positivity helps me develop my tasks and your fashion advises are incredible.

Love you videos man. You are someone i am looking up to. My mum always told me Mens shouldnt be into fashion that much, but ill do what makes me feel worthy.
thanks tim. i needed this. the past year has been my rock bottom emotionally/mentally and i've been struggling with my self-worth for almost the entirety of it. really appreciate it.
If I can add to this great list. I’d say identify your mental health issues. If you have depression, anxiety, ADHD, or autism, it can be hard to built confidence using conventional methods. It can be like trying to run a mile while drowning in the river. So understand your unique mental health make up. If you’re healthy great. But if there are problems that need to be addressed, start by addressing them. That might even overlap with your confidence journey. Like exercise and growth mindset.
okay, watched this twice, and again gonna watch when needed. Thanks Tim! Recently, I had a breakthrough in my struggle, but the new phase for me is again challenging on another level. Knew about this upload, just wanted to watch it when I had declogged all the little things that had accumulated in these past few weeks.
Thanks for this video :) It feels like you took all the swirling thoughts in my head and poured some warm tea over them. This video was so clear and straightforward (as all your videos are). It gave realistic pointers and specific things to improve rather than vague concepts. Which I really appriciate!!
u know i was thinking how can i boost my self confidence the whole day and got it at the end of the day cz i was subscribed u before and tnx a lot that is really important and its impressive fr
I wanted to thank you for this video. The sound design is on point! I listened to the whole thing on my earbuds and the calming music to accompany your words made a great effect on the overall experience. Keep working on ourselves!
For me confidence is like you dont care what people will think about you. You know your self worth more than them. Walk in the street chin up, keep your shoulders back and relaxed, neck straight, Keep your head level, Stand up straight and tall and lastly be proud of who you are.
I have a friend who's good 15 years older than me. He said that if you force yourself to do something 7 times it becomes a habit. You become invested and it's not worth stopping anymore. You can start hitting the gym, you can become a good cook etc. Over time you become aware that you can evolve just by making a decision and having a bit of discipline. It's very rewarding. Confidence is a natural byproduct because it comes with experience and internal peace.
The best way to get confidence is to have a personal belief for which you will give your life. There is no best way to develop confidence that to defend a belief.
Hi, Tim. I'm a Filipino fan. I really appreciate and love your work, it's something that I can really relate to and it makes me feel better. I came for fashion, but I stayed and subscribed because of the relevance.
My height always affects my confidence. Watching this makes me feel like I can make myself better in other things and control things that I can actually control. I hope someday little by little I can accept my insecurities and be able to say that I'm a very beautiful person.
This is a video that I never knew I needed. Amazing... and so helpful. One thing I need to learn is to keep my promises. I always delay or skip my workouts. I have a feeling that I can't keep doing that and expect improvement. Thanks, Tim.
Hey Tim. Could you do a vid on bomber jackets please? None of the bigger fashion RU-vidrs have yet from what I’ve seen. I’ve been binging your content as an 18yo who is just starting to delve into developing my wardrobe. I’m loving Henley shirts, and neutral blacks, blues, browns, reds and greens, and want to have a minimal style. I think sleek bomber jackets would go great with me, but I’d like to see how you do it. Thank youu
Mate this is such a good video! Honestly believe more people need to see this 🔥 and like you said keep believing and you’ll get that Uniqlo partnership haha
This is a really gd video. I’ve applied a lot of these tips especially the skin care, grooming style, and taking risks and I feel a lot more confident and have better self esteem 💯
Tim great video especially the outtakes complete opposite to the main focus Personality also plays a large role in gaining confidence and sticking in the faux pas show your funny side Keep it up
As a teacher, I think you did a great recap of Dweck's ideas about fixed/growth mindset. 👍🏻 Q: What's the brand of the overshirt? (not the alternative) - it looks fantastic on you!
