That's true, belief in yourself stacks. I know that the reason why I believed in myself even when no one else did is because of things that I accomplished before. I would tell myself, I was the person who did this, and I was the person who did that. This way even if I was currently down on my luck and everyone counted me out, I knew I could pull myself out of it.

Like in that promotion instance, if I have convinced myself that I don't deserve it, then no matter how much I try to think of "all the obstacles that I have already overcome", I never remember them. It's like a toxic thought never ever allowing me to think about the progress that I have made in my life. It gets even worse when you see others doing much better than you at that moment, you may just feel like wanting to quit everything.

REALLY needed this..this was done perfectly! Throughout my life I persued different goals and each time people around me just looked at my circumstances and kept telling me a million reasons why I wont work. It makes me sad that I never had that ONE supportive person who believed in me.😢 Even goals I've accomplished in past people don't believe in me. An example was how I payed for last 2 years of college: I worked full time one semester, next semester I worked part time and took 3 classes. I had a roommate to split the rent. Yes it took longer to graduate...but I DID! Got my bachelor's degree....and no student loan debt. 😁
