VERY often, cracking results from using a vowel that's suboptimal for that part of your voice. At the high end of chest voice, some vowels just won't work; they'll create an unfavorable acoustic environment that will cause you to flip up into head voice (crack) to relieve the pressure. Some vowels, though, will always work there, such as "ahh" (as in "cat"), "eh" (as in "stay"), and "ih" (as in "sit"). Notice how she's singing on an ahh for the end of "flowers." It's not an accident!
AHHH!! i was trying to sing i am by ive (any dives here lmao) and liz's part in the prechorus always gets me, but i got it this time!! thank you so much!!
this just makes me sing in my chest voice and i end up straining. still. i think im gonna die without ever being able to belt or sing in vibrato 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Heya! I'm a young actor, just got cast as Veruca in willy wonka jr. It's the scream and the last I want it now in my song that's getting me.. this definitely helped a bit
So my problem is that in the show I’m in I don’t get hands that can move (there’s this like metal wrap around both of my arms holding them in place for each scene) so I have no clue what to do
No, my problem is breath control after mold poisoning in my lungs. Belting was never a problem; I was actually quite beautiful at it and I miss singing in the worst way.
@@sonja_rademacher I was poisoned by extended exposure to black mold in my apartment. It was in a dark closet that I never really entered so I did not realize that I was being exposed I just thought that I was suffering some kind of cold or something that I just couldn't shake. But it affected my nervous system by the time that it was found so I could hardly walk. Most days I do feel better but I have never been able to recover my lung capacity. As I said I really miss singing in the worst way
@@shannonpendergrass7206 I am so sorry to hear that you still have problems with breathing. Mold is a really bad thing. I had mold in my apartment, too. It was hidden behind the wall paper, under the window sill. I had headaches and dizziness for months until I found out. My breathing wasn't affected, luckily. I hope your lungs will recover soon. Maybe try some inhalation with a machine. I don't know how it's called in English. It is filled with "Emser Salz" and water and then it makes a kind of a fine mist or fog. You inhale it for a few minutes, 3 times a day over a week or two. It helped a friend of mine who had severe problems after living in an apartment with mold problem. I really wish you the best and a speedy recovery.
@@sonja_rademacher thank you so much for your kind words and wonderful information. I will look into it. I greatly appreciate it. I am also sorry for your struggles as well and I'm glad that you're doing better.
I had a singing trauma due to how loud i sing in the middle of night. And lost my voice for 3 months. Can i still have the courage to sing out loud like this?😭
How about whistle I struggle doing it more properly it's maybe because of my mucus on my throat because in our city it is a cold season even though it's not snowing.
