For your note book Stuart, the Origin 50 factory setting is 70mV on CN32 😉

Useful thanks. That's 35mA per tube I guess.

I'm curious, how do you know that your information is correct? I looked at the manual and there's nothing about bias values in there... Should I contact Marshall company (customer service) for their recommended bias value?

Do you bias it with the valves on? And what part of the amp do you place the multimeter at? I’ve never biased an amp, I’m not doing it but I’d like to know. Thank you so much

Yes you must have the valves on as you are measuring the current through the valves.

Thanks for the video. Did you adjust the bias on low power, mid power or high power?

On CN32, is one common and the other VDC? I assumed the one with no run was the gnd and the other with the run the TP, but I couldn't get any readings on my DMM. Can someone help?

Sorry Jonathan it's been a while since I did this and I can;t recall.

Same question. Although I didn’t quite understand the latter half of the same. The CN32 has 2 points, one is squared off and the other a round one. So using a multimeter, how do I calculate the bias? I have never biased an amp but am fairly confident on doing it but don’t know how. Though I just have a multimeter with 2 straight probes and not the ones I can stick tubes on so can someone help?

Where do you connect meter? This video doesn't show HOW TO. It just tells us where the pot is.

Hi Dennis You'll see the meter on the bench below the amp. It's a standard bias meter which you insert between the valve and its base. You can buy one from Eurotubes.

Is this push-pull class AB-1?

Almost certainly but I can't lay my hands on the schematic at the moment

@@stuartukguitarampguy5830 I asked because of the Presence control. If it comes off the negative feedback loop, then it's a real Presence control.

@@scottdunn2178 Not sure tbh. Try and find a schematic and have a look.
