Most pop songs (in fact most songs in general) don’t have any central deep meaning, other than a basic mood, emotion or trope. Doesn’t make them any less catchy or nice to listen to. Doesn’t stop a million people finding meaning and their own pain through them and in them. You don’t need an art major, just ears and emotions. That’s coming from a studying artist herself here.
