Thanks for the video but your hair is like 2 inches in this so of course it's not going to be damaged. Young hair close to the roots is the most healthy and resilient. The tricky thing about bleaching your hair is preserving the health of longer strands, or when bleaching shorter hair, doing so in a way that the strand stays strong when it grows out instead of splitting when it gets to chin length or so.

Your natural coloring is cool, definitely on the cool side, skin tone. Always choose blonds with a cool tone, as well as other hair colors-all cool. That conditioner technique on the ends is helpful. Thank You.

Update: I did it! Only the top part and not the sides or back, I also dyed it blue the day after. Bleached it Tuesday night and colored it Wednesday, it's a really pretty dark blue ^ᴗ^

bleach isn't the same as dye, but the developer I used is the same kind of developer used in dye, so that might be a problem for you? I guess it depends what in the dye you're allergic too
Hey there. I have a tip for you. You might know this already, but I thought I'd share this information with you. You mentioned in the video that you redo the sides because it dries. I have a good trick for that. To keep the bleach from drying, put some sort of cap on your head. I bought cheap shower cap or something like that at Sallys. I've seen people use a grocery bag. I think that some sort of «plastic» cap works best as you can clean them and reuse them. It acts 2 ways. It keeps the bleach's moisture, so you don't have to worry about the drying part and go back to put more on. Also, it creates heat, which is good. Your bleach reacts more, so, you might get the result that you want the first time. I have been bleaching mine for years and was always frustrated of the results (too much cooper or yellow). Which means that I have red/russ undertone in my hair and not that they are too dark. I mentioned that to a hairdresser and she told me that I could use a volume 30 instead of 20 and put a cap on to keep the heat and moisture in. I'm more please with the results since I do it this way. Some hairdresser might even put you under a dryer to produce more heat when you go get it done at the hair salon. If I bleach to put my Ions flashy colors, I don't really mind the yellow, but if I want to stay blond for a while, I had some steps. Once done with the bleach, I had a toner to neutralize the copper tone. Right now, I use Clairol 12AA. But there is also stuff you can buy to add to your bleach that will work on those copper/red tone as your hair is bleaching. All stuff I've learned with the years. Thought I'd share.

I've tried multiple toners, and I've only found the manic panic one works, but it doesn't work like SUPER well, I just haven't found a toner I like yet so I usually don't bother, but I'll definitely see if I can find the one you use and give it a try! and yeah that makes sense with the cap and the bleach, I've done that for dyeing my hair certain colours (more to make sure I don't accidentally touch the dye to something) but I haven't done it with my hair before, but I have heard that heat helps bleach. Do what your mom says. You look very young and shouldn’t be bleaching or dying your hair. She’s right, it’ll look trashy and it will ruin your hair at your age.
I regret going with my moms opinion on dying my hair. When i went away to college i did a whole lotta shit with my hair but my mothers opinion never changed so I wished that I wouldve done it when I was younger too. Its up to you. Just always be careful when bleaching or dying and follow all safety steps if you are going to do it.
+C Hood the blue powder? That's actually the bleach, it comes in powder form and you have to mix it with developer to make it a cream consistency to apply to your hair ☺️
Poisoned Productions the one at 2:11 i thought you added sugar lol my bad. it's the developer. my poor eyesight 😭 tho i saw some videos of some people adding some kind of sugar to the bleach mixture. i think it was used to lessen the burning sensation on the scalp
have you tried the Manic Panic Lightening Bleach kit? I want to dye my hair purple haze with a bit of hot hot pink, but i have really jet black hair. So I want to bleach my hair before coloring it. What type of shampoo would you recommend?
+Liliana Cross I haven't tried it yet! It's hard to find manic panic in my city and when I do it's always the fun Colours and not the bleach haha but I would definitely like to try it! And right now I don't have a favourite shampoo, if you're going for fun Colours I just recommend washing your hair in cool to Cold water so the dye lasts longer 😊

Yup you can :) I always had to lighten my hair before I used colour. If you already have blonde hair you might not need the bleach but if it's dark brown or black then yes you will need to lighten it. Keep in mind, darker hair takes longer to get it to this light blonde colour, and you need to leave time in between each bleach session or you'll damage your hair.
