Adjustable wrench is an easy way to strip a nut, bolt and brake line, hope you used the correct tool (line wrench) when installing the new brake line. Good informative video.

Exactly, don't know why anyone would use an adjustable wrench on a brake line.

I’ve always been afraid to change calipers fearing I’d get air in the lines, but seeing this, I’m a lot more comfortable.

Looks fairly simple,but Im gonna try to do my own brakes this time. You said about letting air excape from top of bottle. So the tube in top of bottle is not tight there is a little gap? And when someone is pump the brakes is the vehicle running? Thanks for the video.

Can you explain the bottle more to me? What size tubing to fit on the nipple? And is the green clamp you use mandatory? Also you mention having the ability for air to exit the bottle so that just a slightly larger bore in the cap (than the tubing that allows that? Sorry for the many questions getting ready to replace my rotors, pads and calipers and want to flush the system while I'm at it.

Hi.!! I just found your video and the bleeding procedure was very well explained, very clear and informative. I was just wondering if I could use this method along side a scanner on a 2018 Jeep Compass Sport with ABS. Thanks in advance for your prompt response. Thanks.!!!

I have to ask since this was not covered. Are you suppose to put the cover back on the master cylinder after topping off or does is stay on during the whole bleeding process. (Eg. when you drain your engine oil you leave the oil cap off so it drains properly )

Hey Dax! What are the two lines that are attached to the master cylinder and where do they lead to? My service manual doesn’t mention them and the line’s nut closest to the brake booster is crossed threaded! I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler.

Hey, Dex! Is it possible to remove the brake booster from your Jeep Wrangler without disconnecting the master cylinder from the brake lines?I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler. My brake booster has a hole in it causing my brakes not to operate normally. I have to apply excessive pressure to stop my Jeep. So I decided not to drive it until I replace it. But I don’t feel like having to bleed my brakes. What you think?

So after you bleed your brakes, where do you dispose the old, dirty brake fluid?
@adventuredex
@adventuredex 7 лет назад
Great Question! The most common way is to pour it into cat litter which will get rid of it! Thanks for watching!
@URMyTorment
@URMyTorment 3 года назад
This is wrong....... On the jk you need to connect to the obd with a scan tool and sequence through the abs solenoid valve system or your brakes won't be fully bled.

I just replaced front calipers on my 2007 JK and I have bled the brakes numerous times and still have soft pedal. Some ppl have suggested I use a scan tool to properly bleed the ABS after bleeding the calipers. Is this true? Or does this only apply to newer Jeeps?
@thomasc5687
@thomasc5687 4 года назад
I've heard that if you drive on a gravel road and then pump the breaks till the ABS activates can somewhat rectify the need to use a scan tool.
