As the designer of a particular niche game company, I found sections of this conversation most interesting. We Christians find ourselves members of tropes. Many of my games are geared to aiding the cognitive abilities of seniors (another trope group). Your conversation explaining cognitive behavioral therapy hit my spot. The 'trope' vision of the general public affects our games' acceptance within the marketplace. However, we don't shy away from being known as a Bible-based board game company. Since our demographic also deserves quality games, our hope is that those who appreciate game quality are also drawn to From The Scroll games. Thank you so much for all that you do at BGDL!

I love the cube death star analogy. For an IP people are extra cautious to get it right, because there are always hard core fans who find every mistake you make. We should treat the real world and its history with the same care.

Beg to differ about natives in spaceships. Star Trek: The animated series from the 70s had Mr Walking Bear and Star Trek: Voyager had Chakotay

Yeah, IDK why he does that. Makes it look weird.

… curious why that looks weird for you. It’s extremely professional to have a focus on the subject and less focus on the background. It’s clever filmmaking.

Maybe it is extremely professional, but if the viewers are annoyed by it, it isnt good. I think it is too blurred too, and look at the back ground changing 35:50 , it distracts viewers. Still great content
