Currently breaking in my new slowpitch glove. Been playing a bunch of catch but still trying to get it to close glove to pinky. Don't like the way two fingers in the pinky feels but that's cuz it doesn't feel natural to me maybe I just need to give it time and get used to it
This. It was weird at first but I now I just place my hand in my glove and naturally go to two in the pink. Also, the pink had to stretch out a little but it's all good now.
Tbh I have been playing softball for 6 years now and have always used the traditional way of wearing my glove. For some reason it doesn’t feel very comfortable to have two in the pinky. I just got a glove today and am breaking it in. It’s a very nice black and white 12” Mizuno fast pitch glove that I got from Dick’s. I also got some new cleats and batting gloves. + a new face mask. My glove is still Pretty stiff so I will most def look up some other ways to break a fast pitch glove. Btw I play outfield, so like left, right, mostly center..
I don’t know where this kid learned to break a glove in, but it’s friggen terrible, his gives look stiff and his pink is bent, you wanna break a glove in you steam it, you can buy a steamer online for like 20-50$, shape it how you want and losses it up, then either go play catch with someone who throws hard, a pitching machine, you could go to a local batting cage and just catch the ball, and for softball what I always did is get a baseball glove, and loosen the laces, I never liked a regular softball glove so I just got baseball gloves and loosens the laces
