Thanks for this video. It’s great info. I find this technique to work best as well. The one thing this video and most others miss to address is that most times your breaking up the fight on your own. As someone that’s broken up a lot of dog fights, you’re in it alone. Don’t wait on or expect the other dog owner to step in (some do), 9 out of 10 times the owners stand in shock, feign indifference or honestly don’t know how to handle the situation.
Very wise! Thank you kindly for this realistic information. This technique that you described could have saved a little white dog named Mindi in our neighborhood last year. Thank you for your Channel 🤠
Nicely done bro. Best (& most realistic) explanation I have ever seen on breaking up a dogfight. Just hope that I NEVER have to implement it IRL. My fur baby (2yo Cavoodle/Cavapoo) means absolutely everything to me & I'd do ANYTHING to keep him safe, even putting my own life at risk if needs be. Do you also have any advice on what to do if you're faced with MULTIPLE aggressive dogs, esp. if THEY (plural) latch on to your dog? I've recently seen some horribly unsettling attacks online where 2 or more dogs have latched onto 1 poor sweet innocent thing. There's absolutely NO way that I could just simply stand by on the sidelines & do nothing, irrespective of the risk/chances of success, if it were my dog. I honestly wouldn't be able to live with myself, just standing there passively. I recognise that it's ALMOST an impossible situation, but what would be the best thing to do in these circumstances, particularly if you're alone?
@@ProDogTraining Thanks, but how about MULTIPLE dogs tho? I DO recognise that it's ALMOST an impossible situation, other than fleeing to safety with your doggo, say to an elevated position or behind a barrier of some kind, if you can! But what if you can't? It would be a horrible situation to be in, esp. if you're alone. Any other less obvious recommendations? Or are you just kinda limited to doing the best you can & relying on instinct & common sense at this point?
Amazing stuff, many dog owners don't know it and if your dog jumps on their dog, the owner would attack the other owner because of the action of dog 😂 Thanks for amazing video and all the value you put out there
Dogs are scary I've had to break up a lot of dogfights cuz my parents are bad pet owner and if there's a fight with no one around four or five of the German shepherds always jump to losing dog and when there are people around the dogs just stand around watching the fight like it's entertaining to them I love dogs but they scare me.
More reason for you to love them. If you can harness the power and loyalty of a dog, and they’re your buddy, it’s life changing. I totally understand your fear though, as my sister used to be terrified of dogs. Now she has two!
Be aware of the local laws governing animals. In VA, you are responsible for any damage your animal does. So a horse that smashes or bites, you can be sued for..... Got it?
You don't talk about when both dogs are fighting they're in the air on their back legs and they're both grabbing throats and you're not talking about the other dog redirecting once that a big dog stops
There's about 20 scenarios in a dog fight, I've addressed 1. So yes the 19 others are not addressed. I do discuss redirecting. Please watch the video again.
