Hi Adam sorry I missed your question. The WIFI will still work on this modem model as it has 4G SIM backup with IP address from the modem DHCP ip range not from the other router. The WIFI is using 4G connection not the VDSL anymore.
Thank you! One quick question…is it possibile to do the same with a 4g LTE modem router as the TP LINK MR6400? I actually need to connect it to my main router (ubiquity UDM pro) but the udm pro is not able to receive an ip address from the tplink.
Hey, I checked MR6400 and it doesn’t seem to support bridge mode. Can you plug it to your pc or laptop and see if your getting any ip address? If yes, you might need to check your ubiquity router if that port where you plugged in the 4G router is configured as dhcp client. Let me know.
@@ozzysero1976 DSL is plugged into the modem/router. And from modem/router's LAN port to the new router's WAN port, it is connected via Ethernet cable.
