I think it's an issue of what you define as "customization". They sell metal detail kits and resin addons and things like that, and beyond that, there are people who add a lot of spare parts or plastic board in order to give a kit some extra flare. Aside from the plastic rod getting added to increase the waist height, by my definition, he didn't customize it much at all, just polished the details that are available right out of the box.
@@SerenadeURA This isn't a matter of personal opinion. If you alter something to suit your tastes or needs, it is no longer stock. You have customized it. In this instance, rather heavily. He's added custom detailing and panel lines, both of which take quite a bit of time and effort.
@@citizen_grub4171 well I guess he needs to start titling these videos "without custom parts" so that pedants like you won't get your panties in a wad over it.
@@SerenadeURA There's nothing pedantic about saying he customized it. It's funny seeing the only person slinging insults in a conversation claiming that the other person has their panties in a wad. You've made me laugh today. Thanks for that.
I'd personally consider this pretty light customization. He didn't add new panel lines or details, only made existing ones more prominent. Painting and panel lining is not heavy customization either. I think the title is fine. Definitely a project someone would get done in a few weeks to a month max.
I’ve learned a ton of hobby tips watching your videos. I’m a huge fan of your “back to basics” videos. Thanks for putting your skills on display. It’s eye opening and motivating.
kampfer was my first ever gunpla i made idk why i chose kampfer as a child when i was 13 man that was 17 years ago you just brought me back in memory lane thank you
Will be trying out the technique you mentioned, with the cement after scribing to make it smoother. It’s genius! Never thought about that, I’m excited. Thank you for the video
Thanks for the tutorial. I just got a Perfect grade Gundam as a gift and was in way over my head with that scale and detail. I used to make warhammer models which uses a lot of the skills you put on but I still learned a ton. Gonna start with some zakus before I try with him.
Bravo pour ces 2 épisodes, on pense toujours connaître des choses, mais heureusement que des gens comme toi, cherche, analyse, compare et prends du recule... Merci, c'était fou !!
Thank you for all these cool videos of what you can do with the hobby. While my style tends to look more like some rag-tag band of zeon soldiers just barely got something to work I've leaned into it and your videos have certainly been helpful along the way.
Hi EA! as always wonderful job! always inspiring and really great in choosing the right music! btw whats the trigger airbrush model? seems like its one of Angel Trading product but i couldnt find it.
Love the subtitles + calm music format, makes it very enjoyable to watch and follow what you' re doing. I just got into Gunpla and your videos help so much with understanding the techniques. PS: What did you place in the thruster for the 2nd masking method?
Loving this series of videos, super useful. One question, when painting the inner frame after priming, do you move the limbs to cover all the frame, or decide on a pose beforehand and only paint the parts that will be shown?
I beg you man, do more of these, not every build video has to be "1000 HOUR METAL BUILD" maybe once a year is cool but most people want to see something that's doable.
I love this series, it helps a lot to learn new things and improve your self, I have one question, what is the white thing you use to put in the thrusters before you paint it? And which is the thinner rate for water base paints when you paint with brush?
Amazing as always! I've learned so much watching your videos. One question--what kind of topcoat did you use? (Lacquer or Acrylic?). I usually lacquer topcoat but wonder if it would hurt the acrylic-painted details.
@@EAGunplayeah i can order online from different vendors but prices may vary. In fact the prices of the hobby is one of the bigger hinderances to start at all. How long have you been doing this?
Awesome video as alway! I always wondered 1) do you ever use a clear coat before panel lining? 2) how long do you let the panel line sit before using thinner to remove?
Great video. Thank you for creating these back to basics tutorials. Question on the painting section. Do you immediately do the wet coat after the mist? Or do you set that piece aside to let the mist coat dry and come back to it for the wet coat? Thanks again!
I’m really keen to try out & practice all the tips you gave out but kinda worried I would make mistakes & mess up my kit lol. I guess that’s part of learning.
Found this video by accident and it’s strangely soothing and educational. However I’m curious about the metal rod (the metal rod used to expand the torso), what size were you using?
At the 7:26 mark, what is the tool that you're using to get that look? Love your work, please keep making these videos because they are very helpful and appreciated!
I just watch your video on how to safely remove the safety nubs on the fin from 4 years ago and it work well on a solid plastic kits. I just hot hg calibarn. Plan to to start building it soon. I have a question regarding the calibarn. How do you remove the safety nubs on its v fin since its a clear plastic? And will sanding and file will damage the clear plastic?
It's funny how many people started doing HGUC Kampfers since last month. Even I started a Kampfer project. Is there something in the water or whatever???
I am curious, for when you drilled the holes in the head, what was that bit you used to create a crater and make the enlarged hole more crisp? Can't seem to find an accurate description anywhere
Just want to know, what kind of superglue you are using for extend the waist??is it specifically for any plastic because when i try to search at shoppee got some for shoes too..
depends on what time of cement do you use. but to be safe, leave if for an hour before proceed with sanding. some cement takes faster than that to fully dry
An hour eh? That's not too bad, here I was thinking it might be something longer like eight hours. Thank you for the quick reply and for the useful videos. Watching these past three build videos makes me want to try and start going beyond just snapping kits together. Oh, and unlike some others that may not like the music, I find it relaxing and enjoyable which is a big part of why I got into gunpla in the first place.
