very nice clean build. one thing i noticed and have seen many top PC builders also do the same, is leaving the plastic tube "shipping tube" on the CPU socket locking arm on the arm. in the motherboard manual it says that one should "remove" the clear plastic tube from the arm as it can apparently cause CPU bending as the torque / load from one side to the other can vary. note this is just something that the ASUS manual says. i built a Z690 rig and nearly missed it myself. at least you did the BIOS flashback and very clean build. thanks for sharing.

It's better not to use the top M.2_1(SOCKET3) if it's a gen 5.0 SSD slot. It will mess up the PCIe Bus Interface. M.2_2(SOCKET3) is the way to go!

Building my 1st ever PC next week. Corsair 5000d, Asus Z-790E wifi, i7 14700, Corsair H150i cpu cooler, Corsair 2x16 6000 mhz, 2 Samsung 990 2tb M.2, Corsair RM1000x, 10 Corsair Ql-120 fans, 2 Commander pro hubs. Really hope I don't brick the motherboard as I hear horror stories about updating the bios. But, after watching your video I am breathing a little easier. Thanks for showing a step by step how to.

Hi Jahid. Any first-time PC builder should watch your video, maybe more than once. I only suggest removing the CPU clamp and installing a Thermalright CPU Contact Frame, AKA ILM Bending Correct Frame. I never installed a GPU with the case upright because it places unnecessary strain on the GPU and PCI-e socket.

I actually build for customers and I suggested them but they didn't want that. Otherwise I would have done that. And about the vertical mounting, this case supports that and no it's not much of a hassle or doesn't put any strain on the motherboard. You can do that.

Pretty nice video, one question. I'm planning to build a similar PC14900k and z790 -F asus, did you try to see if PC was able to boot withouth flashing the bios with bios flbk button? Like, I'd rather updating the bios on the graphic interface like I normally do lol, and it'be nice to make myself sure I need to upgrade bios by watching the current bios' version. Good to know I'd be able to update the BIOS with all the components already installed I didn't know that haha. Thanks for sharing knowledge

I just built a similar system. i7 14700k, Asus Rog Strix Z790 E ii wifi, Asus Ryujin iii 360 aio, Asus Rog Strix RTX4070 Ti Super and G.Skill 32gb 6000mhz ddr5 ram. Im very happy with this build. I enjoyed watching this video.

I didnt rly understand the bios update part. You have a flashdrive but what about the other part. How did you exactly update it. I didnt understand why the camera was pointing at the back. Are you not meant to to into bios and update it manually??

Sorry for that part, I was holding my camera in one hand and working with another. I used the BIOS flashback button provided on the motherboard. You don't need to get into bios or even a CPU to update BIOS if your motherboard has that button. You can find the walk around on the internet or your motherboards website. I forgot to put that on the video.

it was a excellent build overall i think you should down grade the cpu to intel core i7 and get a rtx 4080 or 4090 but very good pc build overall keep up the work

in-terms of the cpu there isn't one, this is due to the LGA1700 Socket being ceased as 15th gen comes out. So that would be a platform upgrade in the future. The Gpu can be upgraded to anything in the 40 series lineup and possibly 50 series but we would have to wait for those to release to see if the 14900k could handle the high end 50 series skus. AMD gpu wise it's the same story. hope this helps

i9 14900k for a 4070 is overkill, either upgrade the gpu or downgrade to either an i5 or i7 14th gen, depends on the game you play.

Thank you for your suggestions. This motherboard comes ready with 14th gen bios. And is one of the flagship motherboards out there. There's no harm even using a B series board with updated bios. Check your sources before commenting negatively anywhere. PCIe 5 PSU's are recommended but not mandatory, otherwise GPU vendors won't provide adapters, they would opt for one. PCIe 5 PSU's still are not common everywhere. So no harm with older gen PSU.
