How to build a 6x2 C&C cage for Guinea Pigs with Stand, Ramp, Loft, Lid

Our biggest cage! A 6x2 C&C cage is a great cage for up to four guinea pigs and a bestseller here at Kavee! A 6x2 C and C cage is 210 x 70 x 70 cm or 28x28x84'' for a surface of 14ft sq. Remember to always provide the most space possible for your guinea pigs - this is really important. Also, guinea pigs should be kept in pairs or more, never on their own!
In this video, we take you step-by-step through the assembly of a 6x2 cage with a stand as well as the steps necessary to add a loft, a ramp and a full lid to the C and C cage.

Bought 1 of these about 2 weeks ago for my 2 Guinea pigs and they love it 🥰 I wanted the biggest cage possible as they are both boys and seem to be very territorial ☹️ xx

These look awesome... but why are they so expensive?? This cage all together is almost $300, not including shipping & tax. You have separate $60 payments as an option, but the app you use I believe requires a good credit score which I don't have right now:( I've got 3 cats & your cage is the only one I can find with a lid but it's an extra $45. You may get more sells if you made them a little cheaper. I'm sure there's many ppl in the same situation as I am...

I know this is 7 months late, but you can create your own lid for a much cheaper price. Guinea Piggles has a tutorial on how to do it :)

Thank you for your feedback! At this time we offer smaller fleece sizes as some customers have noted that it is easier to accommodate when washing. However, this is something we are continuing to develop, and hope we can offer larger sizes in the future!

How sturdy are these cages they look flimsy but it's probably better in person but looking at it I'm worried my piggies will knock it down or something and how much would this cost with the storage spaces underneath and the full roof ?

How do you build it into an L shape? I have two female Guinea pigs but one is brand new so they’re separate right now and I want a cage that’s bigger that I can use later when they can be together

We recommend supervising your cat if they are in the same room as your piggies and avoid letting your cat jump onto the lid and removing them if they do so 🐹

@@kavee_pets oh always but if im not in my house I have no way of watching them. I need to get a lid to ensure at least some safety. If I got one that's the 6x2 with the loft and selected to add the lid, would it cover it fully or only the loft part

if im buying c&c grids how many do i need. like on amazon theres a 9 cube organizer, how many of that would i buy?

It depends on the model you would like to make! 😊 For this exact model, you will need 45 grids (without lid) or 53 girds (with lid). Please note that if you are choosing grids that are for cube organizers, that you use ones that have 8x8 meshing, at least. Grids with 7x7 meshing or less are not suitable for guinea pigs! Hi there! Yes that's right :) So we'd only advise a 4x2 lid, due to the weight of the grids, a lid any larger won't be sturdy enough for lifting up and down regularly. But you can add fixed top grids over the remaining space to fully enclose the cage :) You will simply only be lifting the 4x2 part up and down, as shown in the video.

Why are you not showing how to actually fold the middle correx bits? It's the trickiest part for a 6x2. Frustrated none of your videos show how to do that.

Thanks for your comment. We recommend having the coroplast overlayed, as opposed to folding it up, which is why we show it as such on our videos 🙂

We’ve been waiting for our cage for months in five days it got lost in shipping so then they told them that there was nothing in the box Fed Ex said they waited around until they got a refund and finally sent us a cage and guess what it’s not here they told us it would be here on Friday because they overnight shift it they lied to us again and then they treated us mean and rude I guarantee you will not want to use this company this is a horrible company they treat you like shit and act like it’s your fault because you want your money back or the cage delivered immediately

that's not MY experience the cage came early and they were very kind, it was probably just bad luck
